The EW team operates at a tempo the defense industry isn't used to: delivering novel system configurations into active operations in days, not months, and iterating based on direct operator feedback from the field.\nWe are building a new Mission Software Engineering (MSE) team to own the full software lifecycle for EW products - from development and integration through deployment, sustainment, and customer success. If you want to write software that ships to real missions on aggressive timelines, this is the team.\nABOUT THE ROLE\nWe're looking for Mission Software Engineers who are strong generalists and fast learners. You don't need to be an expert in electronic warfare - you need to be the kind of engineer who can pick up any part of the stack, figure out how it works, and make it better. The problems here span embedded systems, backend services, data pipelines, deployment infrastructure, integration with Lattice OS, and operator-facing tools. You'll get deep exposure to RF and EW concepts on the job, working alongside domain experts.\nWhat matters most is your engineering fundamentals, your ability to ship reliable software under pressure, and your willingness to own problems end-to-end - from understanding the mission need to getting working code into the hands of operators.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nDevelop and maintain mission-critical software across the EW product stack\nBuild and improve deployment tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management systems\nIntegrate EW systems with the broader Anduril Lattice ecosystem\nDebug and resolve issues in production and field-deployed systems\nDevelop operator-facing tools and interfaces that make complex systems usable in high-stakes environments\nWork with embedded software and DSP engineers to bridge the gap between algorithm development and field-deployable software\nParticipate in field deployments, integration events, and customer engagements\nContribute to a culture of engineering quality through code review, testing, and documentation\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\n1-4 years of professional software engineering experience (or equivalent: strong internships, open source contributions, research)\nProficiency in at least one of: Haskell, Rust, C++, Go, or TypeScript\nComfort working in Linux environments\nStrong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, systems concepts\nDesire to learn new domains quickly - you'll pick up RF, EW, and defense-specific concepts on the job\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, unstructured environment where priorities shift based on mission needs\nEligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance\nWillingness to travel up to 30%\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience with Haskell or Rust\nFamiliarity with Nix/NixOS\nExperience with embedded systems, real-time systems, or hardware/software integration\nExposure to signal processing, RF systems, or software-defined radio\nExperience with containerized deployments or infrastructure-as-code\nExperience with distributed systems or networking\nContributions to open source projects in typed functional programming languages\nUS Salary Range\n$166,000—$220,000 USD\nThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
