In this role you’ll need to think creatively and come up with solutions to solve difficult testing problems and push to continuously improve our methods of automation, throughput, user interfaces, and data analytics. You should have a track record of successfully working on fast-paced, highly technical, interdisciplinary teams. A successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively within and across teams to quickly and effectively resolve issues that arise in production.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nMaintain ownership of test activities in production and ensuring production test flow. Provide hands-on troubleshooting efforts and resolve complex infrared systems issues found during testing.\nMaintain test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream - from system level checkouts and acceptance testing to key component level in process validation.\nGenerate test work instructions that can be easily followed by technician team in MES. Train technicians on equipment use as required.\nDevelop library of common failure modes with troubleshooting guide/diagrams for fast issue resolution.\nMaintain and develop software for test automation, data analytics, and report generation.\nDetermine root cause of product failures and recommend appropriate corrective actions (RCCA).\nWork with Design, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to support customer returns and failure analysis.\nContribute feedback to early-stage test design for test processes supporting early-stage products (NPI).\nAnalyze test data, document results, and provide detailed reports to identify defects and areas for improvement.\nCollaborate with design engineers to provide feedback and recommendations for product enhancements based on test outcomes.\nOptimize test strategies for efficiency and effectiveness, reducing test time without compromising quality.\nMaintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure precision and reliability.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance testing processes and methodologies.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields\n3+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on manufacturing test and product sustainment.\nExperience with data acquisition and processing with MATLAB, Python and other programming languages.\nExperience with test automation and report generation.\nStrong root cause analysis skills of non-conforming hardware, software, and firmware.\nExcellent written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills.\nExperience working on projects that involve the integration of electrical, opto-mechanical, and software/firmware systems.\nEligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nKnowledge of infrared systems, including their performance requirements and verification methodologies.\nExperience with cryogenic testing equipment.\nFamiliarity with test equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, thermal chambers, function generators, spectrum analyzers, data acquisition and measurement sensors.\nExperience with computer hardware communication protocols: USB, Ethernet, RS232, RS485, PCIe, HDMI, CAN, etc.\nUS Salary Range\n$98,000—$130,000 USD\nThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
