In this role, your primary focus will be full-lifecycle PCB design from concept and schematic capture through board bring-up, test, and debug. In this role you'll also be supporting subsystem cable harnessing, hardware integration, and flight-test operations. If you are a hands-on electrical generalist who thrives in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments, active deployments, and mission-critical flight hardware, we are looking for you. \nWHAT YOU WILL DO\nFull cycle PCB design (primary day-to-day focus) including collecting requirements, schematic design, component selection, supervision or completion of layout, bring-up, test, debug, and system integration\n\nConduct bring-up and design work on microcontrollers and microprocessors, ensuring seamless integration within the system\n\nPerform power design, including the development, simulation, and integration of discrete power supplies, DC-DC converters, and power management systems\n\nTroubleshoot issues that span electrical and software boundaries, utilizing lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMM, logic/spectrum analyzers, electronic loads) and basic software/firmware debugging tools\n\nWork in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments, deployments, and customer operated flight hardware\n\nDevelop payloads and subsystems (sensors, payload interfaces, power management, and networking)\n\nCreate system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses and pinouts that connect electronic equipment within a subsystem\n\nSupport environmental qualification (vibration, thermal) and flight-test operations\n\nCollaborate closely with other electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver fully functional, mission-critical products\n\nConduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 5+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex system designs\n\nActive, hands-on PCB design experience within the last 5 years (schematic capture, layout execution/supervision, and physical board bring-up in the lab)\n\nExperience with modern ECAD/EDA design tools (Altium Designer preferred, but open to Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, Mentor Graphics, etc.)\n\nSolid foundation in power system design, power loading analysis, and power management systems (DC-DC conversion, transient protection, and power distribution)\n\nHigh competence using lab test equipment (benchtop power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, DMM, logic/spectrum analyzers, etc.) and basic board-level rework/soldering tools\n\nHands-on experience with microcontrollers and digital interfaces (CAN, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, RS232/422, RS485, USB)\n\nKnowledge of modern analog and digital electronics, mixed-signal board design, grounding topologies, and filtering/EMI mitigation\n\nUnderstanding of low-voltage and high-voltage power electronics and control systems to drive cable harness designs and connector selections\n\nEligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance\n\nExceptional organization and communication skills (both written and oral)\n\nOpen to candidates from fast-paced, high-reliability adjacent industries (Electric Vehicles / Automotive, Medical Devices, Autonomous Systems, or complex Consumer Electronics)\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nSpecialized background in discrete power supply design (high-efficiency topologies, switching regulators, battery management systems)\n\nBackground in defense, missile systems, hypersonics, or aerospace avionics\n\nComprehensive understanding of the effects of temperature, shock, and vibration on electrical packaging and designs\n\nAbility to develop basic low-level firmware or test scripts (C, Python) for hardware bring-up and peripheral validation\n\nUS Salary Range\n$161,000—$212,000 USD\nThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
