Battlespace Awareness software services comprise advanced algorithms for sense-making and decision-making at tactical timelines. This role requires an individual with a strong technical background in software development, particularly in the domain of optimization and estimation, and experience managing complex projects with multiple sub-teams and many stakeholders. The Sr Technical Program Manager will be the linchpin in ensuring that the software is developed in line with the objectives defined and is released according to the planned schedule.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nProject Leadership and Strategy:Develop and maintain a detailed project and execution plan - including feature development, testing and validation, deployment, and monitoring. \nEstablish clear objectives and deliverables for the software that align with program needs.\n\nTechnical Expertise:Maintain a deep understanding of underlying algorithms and software interfaces for battle management, threat prediction, tracking, and classification to ensure that the relevant services integrate effectively with the larger C2 system.\nStay updated on the latest techniques to work with subject matter experts in incorporating relevant innovations into the project plan.\n\nDocumentation and Process Improvement:Ensure comprehensive documentation is maintained for the project, including technical specifications, user manuals, and project reports.\nContinuously evaluate and improve project management processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.\n\nRelease Management:Oversee the planning and execution of the software release process, ensuring that deployment is carried out smoothly and efficiently.\nEnsure that all software releases meet the defined quality standards before deployment.\n\nStakeholder Communication:Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications, internally across teams and externally with stakeholders.\nRegularly update stakeholders on project status, risks, and milestones through reports and presentations.\n\nResource Allocation:Assess and allocate necessary resources, including personnel, software, and hardware, to ensure the project is adequately supported.\nMonitor resource utilization and make adjustments as needed to avoid bottlenecks or resource constraints.\n\nRisk Management:Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies with the subject matter experts to minimize impact on the project timeline and deliverables.\nRegularly review and update the risk management plan to reflect changes in the project landscape.\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration:Work with other divisions and departments to ensure software supports the program priorities and meets all integration requirements.\nFacilitate effective communication and collaboration between the Battlespace Awareness business line and other stakeholders to promote a unified approach to program execution.\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.\nExtensive project management experience, preferably in software development.\nDemonstrable understanding of optimization, applied probability, and AI/ML technology.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.\nExperience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and GitHub\nExceptional verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to manage high-pressure situations and tight deadlines.\nMust be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.\nPREFERRED QAULIFICATIONS:\nFamiliarity and experience working with materiel leadership or mission partners within Army Air & Missile Defense, USMC Ground Based Air Defense, SOCOM, DHS CBP, or allied defense organizations and working knowledge of the counter-UAS and air surveillance competitive landscape.\nExperience working on or alongside a team developing mathematical software, such as optimization solvers, estimation engines, simulation frameworks, or applied probability models.\nWe request transcripts as part of the early application process to understand your academic background and how your coursework supports the skills deemed critical for the role.
