As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.\nThe Supplier Engineering Manager drives the strategic supply network development and cost management of Anduril’s product hardware, across their lifecycles, by collaborating with suppliers and cross-functionally, including stakeholders in engineering, quality, and manufacturing.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO:\nConduct supplier selection for a specific product, leveraging approved supplier list.\nPartner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development via activities such as:\nConcept scoping to quickly solidify requirements\nFeature trade-off / trade tables\nTotal Cost of Ownership modeling\nJoint design development, via clear statements of work\nSimulation of mechanical & electronics designs\nDrive commercial\nDevelopment and execution of sourcing strategy via full market knowledge, supplier rationalisation, commodity pricing plan and effective principles to drive efficiency and cost\nDrive the development and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM, working with Quality & Manufacturing, to ramp production internally and with our suppliers with high flexibility\nAccountable for all NPI component procurement, on-time and correctly, to scale up manufacturing operations\nManage the request for and associated verification of supplier related CAPEX throughout NPI\nConduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility\nComplete the BOM risk assessment and develop plan per part analysis\nFollow through completion of component qualifications by relevant stakeholders, ahead of production need dates\nReduce complexity of supply chain through commonality optimization & component/supplier rationalisation\nLead all cost engineering activities to converge the bottoms-up cost curve to product cost, maximizing the total cost of ownership (TCO) across the product lifecycle\nManage ad-hoc cost issues e.g., tariffs / import export cost, and cost inflation\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nIdeally has background within:\nDesign & development of electronics devices\nAdvanced sourcing activities, including positions working as a commodity/sourcing manager\nSupplier development (technology, process, supply chain, etc.)\nEarly supplier engagement, ahead of product/engineering requirement realisation\nDomain expertise must include value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component & product level\nFamiliarity with developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment\nBachelor’s degree in engineering (BSME, BSEE) or other related technical degree.\nMust be eligible to obtain an Australian NV1 clearance\nThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
