This person sets the supply strategy, shaping what we need to build, in what quantity, and how far ahead of demand signals, so that annual production commitments and customer ship dates are achievable. Material Planning owns clear-to-builds and day-to-day material execution; You own the strategy that puts Planning and your product lines in a position to succeed.\nTo be clear about scope: you do not own the demand forecast, you own what supply plan to support it. Demand signals here move fast. The right person for this role has ownership and experience solving complex operational challenges with creative solutions in a fast-paced, resource-limited environment. This person will be flexible to provide support wherever needed to ensure products are built and shipped under stringent quality standards. If you are someone who thrives in such an environment, then this role is for you!\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nLead Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) discussions for Supply Planning on designated product lines.\nWork with Demand Planning and Production Program Management partners to align production throughput and build plans with actual demand plans.\nOwn the end-to-end supply and production plan for assigned assemblies and product lines, translating volatile, incomplete, and sometimes conflicting demand signals into a firm supply plan.\nSet the inventory strategy and production plan for your scope, including safety stock, lead time offsets, production throughput, and proposing weekly production work orders.\nSequence the build schedule and allocate constrained material across programs when supply can't cover all build signals.\nProtect Annual Planning commitments and customer ship dates. Pressure-test requests that put them at risk, and escalate early with options.\nDrive recovery with cross-functional partners when supply breaks. Partner with Material Planning and Purchasing to expedite, de-expedite, or re-source; work with Engineering on substitutions and change timing; keep Manufacturing Engineering and Production partners current on what's moving and when.\nReport on supply and material health in a way that forces decisions rather than describing status, covering coverage, risk, aging, and excess, along with your recommendation on each.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree in a technical field (i.e. manufacturing, engineering, analytics, computer science, etc.) or business field (i.e. finance, economics, supply chain management, business administration, marketing, etc.)\n3+ years of experience in a supply chain or production role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment dealing with complex assemblies.\nComplete ownership of a complex value chain, coordinating between multiple, high volume of departments and teams to ensure on-time deliveries and adherence to quality standards.\nStrong analytical capabilities - create and analyze complex models that automate the identification of any supply shortfalls\nProactive, able to take substantial responsibility across various functions, with a focus on speed and accuracy.\nExperience with ERP systems such as Oracle, NetSuite, and CRM systems like Salesforce\nStrong experience with Slack/Teams and Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel\nAbility to travel up to 10% of the time.\nAbility to relocate, if not already local to be onsite in Irvine, CA.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nMaster’s degree or other higher education\nStrong experience with SQL databases, including building custom queries for production and inventory metrics.\nProficiency in data analysis and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlikview.\nTechnical expertise including ability to read technical documentation and understanding hardware manufacturing processes.\nKnowledge of supply chain planning systems like Blue Yonder and best practices in demand planning, inventory management, and S&OP.\nExperience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, six sigma principles, and big data evaluation techniques.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.\nUS Salary Range\n$117,000—$154,000 USD\nThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
