Anduril Industries is an American defence technology company founded in 2017 that builds autonomous systems and command software for military and border security customers. Rather than bidding on cost-plus programmes, it develops products with its own capital and sells them as finished systems, from surveillance towers and counter-drone interceptors to underwater vehicles and collaborative combat aircraft. Its Lattice software platform fuses sensor data into a single operating picture and controls the hardware family, and the company is headquartered in Costa Mesa, California with a large manufacturing site in Ohio.

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Maritime Services Team is responsible for collecting seabed survey and exploration data for commercial and government customers worldwide. Today, we are simultaneously delivering services and capability, while helping invent advanced large-scale autonomous solutions for tomorrow.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager  to join our rapidly growing team in Quincy, MA. Make no mistake - this is a diverse role that requires an agile manager comfortable with operating in a chaotic environment, not just a schedule-and-Gantt PM. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and execution of survey projects, informing the design of survey plans, driving development and test plans for new capabilities, and supporting business development activities as both external advocate and internal "voice of the customer". This requires someone with a robust set of of offshore experiences, precise project management and contracting knowhow, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to work in a high velocity environment. If you want to merge the most advanced hardware and software imaginable to rewrite the book on seabed exploration, then this role is for you. We don't do bureaucracy here - if you'd rather write a status report than solve the problem in front of you, this isn't your team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Project Planning: Plan and coordinate multiple concurrent commercial and government AUV survey projects, including resource demand planning, scheduling, and logistics. Develop project scope and manage changes through the life of the project. Identify, track, and manage risks. Generate and maintain project schedules, including identifying required resourcing and assets. Work with customers to define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines. Partner with Field Operations to identify resourcing, assets, vessels, and required support equipment and services.
  • Data Processing: Review customer data requirements and expectations, mapping them to current and future system capabilities. Support generation of post mission analysis data products, quality controls, and standardized workflows to meet project requirements.
  • Contract Management: Provide contract management support including drafting and reviewing statements of work, change orders, financial management, terms and conditions, data rights assertions, etc. Manage deliverables, including routine status updates and final data delivery to the customer.
  • Test Event Execution: Support the Engineering team in integration, testing, and debug in a high-paced environment. Participate in formal testing efforts by identifying resources needed, tracking cost and schedule during workup testing and execution, and supporting mobilization logistics. Serve as customer PoC and interface during testing and funded work, providing clear and concise status, reporting on risks, and progress against required data deliverables
  • Growth Support: Interface across the spectrum of survey stakeholders and customers, and be able to represent the technical aspects of the Anduril Maritime portfolio. Serve as the “voice of the customer” for follow-on business capture efforts and activities, ensuring customer needs and requirements are clearly articulated to product and engineering teams while supporting proposal generation, identification of new work, and prioritization of new capabilities. Act as a champion for customers across geophysical survey applications, including exploration and surveys for deep sea minerals, oil and gas, telecom, etc.
  • Autonomous Execution: Default to action: autonomously execute on broad and/or ambiguous requirements from external customers. Show a proven ability to work across the ambiguity to refine and capture key outcomes and deliverables for each individual project. Demonstrate high ownership on all pieces of work. Become a trusted partner across multiple teams in Anduril Maritime, including Engineering, Products, Operations, and Field Test Engineering.
  • Travel to support customer meetings and operations approximately 25-40% of the time.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science degree in systems engineering, renewable energy, ocean engineering, or a related field, as well as a demonstrated passion for hydrographic survey
  • 5+ years of project management, technical management, or offshore party chief experience, specifically in robotics or hydrographic survey
  • Technical background in geophysical data acquisition, processing, and deliverable generation
  • High ownership and proven ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team to a common outcome
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience operating robotic systems offshore
  • Experience with development and integration of subsea sensors.
  • Experience in deep ocean exploration
  • Experience with international and commercial customers
