You will take end-to-end ownership of the café, including day-to-day operations and event support.\nAs aCafe Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the café, preparing high-quality meals, supporting café functions and ensuring exceptional service delivery. Working closely with the Food and Beverage Manager, you will help create menus, maintain food quality standards and deliver a positive dining experience for customers and residents.\nWith professionalism, creativity and a customer-focused approach, you will:\nFood Preparation and Service Delivery\nPrepare, cook and present high-quality meals, café items and catering orders \nEnsure food is prepared and served to a consistently high standard \nSupport the planning and delivery of café services and functions \nKitchen Operations and Quality\nSupport menu planning and seasonal menu updates \nMonitor food quality, storage, preparation and handling procedures \nEnsure stock levels are maintained and participate in stocktakes \nMaintain efficient kitchen operations and workflow processes \nCustomer Experience\nDeliver excellent customer service to residents, visitors and guests \nAssist in promoting café services and supporting customer satisfaction initiatives \nCollaboration and Team Support\nLead by example and contribute to a positive team culture \nWork collaboratively with kitchen, hospitality and village teams \nSafety and Compliance\nMaintain food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards in line with HACCP requirements \nFollow workplace health and safety policies and procedures and report hazards \nEnsure equipment, workstations and food preparation areas are maintained safely and professionally \nWhat You'll Bring\nYou are a passionate and customer-focused Chef who enjoys creating quality food and delivering memorable dining experiences.\nWhat's Required\nCommercial Cookery Certificate or equivalent qualification \n5+ years' experience within hospitality, catering or food service environments \n5+ years’ of experience in food preparation, kitchen operations and menu planning skills \nFood Safety Supervisor (FSS) certification and WWCC \nExcellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP requirements \nStrong English literacy both spoken and written \nWhat's Preferred\nExperience managing his own food business or a cafe \nExperience with ordering, stock control and food cost management \nMicrosoft Office skills and general computer literacy \nAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment \nWhy Anglicare ?\nWe provide meaningful opportunities and choice, both for the individuals and communities we support, and the dedicated people here who make it happen.\nAt Anglicare, you’ll get the security, stability and opportunities that come with a strong, well-established organisation that’s ready for the future.
