This critical role will lead a portfolio of complex high-density residential, mixed-use, seniors living, affordable housing and social housing developments from acquisition through to completion and operational handover.\nYou will play a pivotal role in shaping communities, optimising investment outcomes and delivering high-quality housing solutions that improve lives, while balancing commercial performance with meaningful social impact.\nYour opportunity\nReporting to the senior leadership team, the Portfolio Development Manager - Vertical Villages is responsible for leading multiple developments concurrently across the full project lifecycle, including acquisition, feasibility, planning approvals, design, procurement, construction delivery and operational handover.\nYou will provide strategic leadership and commercial oversight across a portfolio of significant projects, ensuring financial, programme, quality, sustainability and community objectives are achieved. Working closely with executive leaders, government stakeholders, consultants and delivery partners, you'll help create vibrant, sustainable communities that support residents today and into the future.\nWith integrity and resilience, you will:\nLead the delivery of multiple complex development projects across all stages of the development lifecycle. \nDrive feasibility modelling, investment analysis and commercial decision-making to maximise value and outcomes. \nDevelop and execute project strategies that align with organisational goals and community needs. \nBuild strong relationships with government agencies, councils, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders. \nLead procurement, tendering and contract management processes across development projects. \nOversee governance, risk management and compliance to ensure successful project outcomes. \nChampion sustainability, accessibility and best-practice design principles across developments. \nMentor and develop development professionals while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture. \nWhat you'll bring\nYou are an experienced and commercially astute development leader with a strong track record managing large-scale residential, mixed-use or master-planned developments. You combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery expertise and are confident leading complex projects through every stage of the development lifecycle.\nYou bring exceptional financial and commercial capability, including advanced feasibility modelling, investment assessment, value optimisation and risk management. Your ability to balance long-term strategic outcomes with day-to-day project delivery enables you to drive successful developments while maintaining strong governance and financial performance.\nYou are a highly credible stakeholder manager and communicator who can build trusted relationships, influence decision-making and negotiate positive outcomes across diverse stakeholders.
