With a planned return to longwall production by Q4 2027, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to a major mine restart and help shape the future of underground mining.\nWorking alongside experienced professionals, you will play a role in implementing leading-edge technology, automation, monitoring systems and operational improvements that will define how the mine operates for years to come.\n Anglo American are currently recruiting multiple Underground Operators within Development at Grosvenor Mine based in Moranbah, Queensland.\nReporting to the Development Coordinator, the primary purpose of the role is to complete all tasks safely and efficiently, to assist Grosvenor Mine in achieving its goal of zero harm, whilst maximising production output and minimizing production costs.\nKey responsibilities will include, not limited to:\nSafely and efficiently operate a variety of underground mining equipment.\nMaintaining a safe and productive mining environment.\nSupport roadway development, installation and mining activities.\nComplete equipment inspections and identify maintenance or safety concerns.\nFollow site procedure, production plans and statutory requirements.\nWork proactively with on-shift peers to ensure a high level of safety & productivity to agreed standards & responsibilities\nUniformly applying Anglo American standards and procedures i.e. the mine Safety & Health Management System & Anglo Golden Rules.\n To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience working within the underground coal mining industry with demonstrated understanding of the coal mining process and the relevant mining legislation.\nRelevant skills, knowledge and experience required for this role include:\nPrevious underground coal development experience\nCurrent Coal Board medical and Standard 11 \nExperience operating equipment such as continuous miners, shuttle cars, bolters, LHDs or development support equipment\nDemonstrated experience contributing to a team of professionals to deliver against set targets.\nA professional work ethic and the ability to strive for continuous improvement.\n Full-time, permanent position\n7 on, 7 off day/night or afternoon/night roster\nDIDO, FIFO, Residential options available\nSubsidised accommodation available\nAttractive salary, annual bonus\nMultipul positions available\nWhat we Offer\nWhen you join Anglo American, you can expect to enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package.
