Working alongside experienced technical and operational teams, you will play a key role in establishing and maintaining effective ventilation and gas management systems that support a safe, compliant and productive operation.\nWorking alongside experienced professionals, and working across the disciplines of; ventilation, gas management, mine planning and projects, you will vital play a role in implementing leading-edge technology, automation, monitoring systems and operational improvements that will define how the mine operates for years to come.\n Grosvenor Mine\nThis is your opportunity to join a team of passionate and supportive industry leading experts where you can drive your future career.\nThis role will see you coordinate mine planning activities and be accountable for delivery of Business Plan and Monthly Operating Plan mine planning inputs. A high level of strategic thinking, planning and problem-solving skills will be instrumental in your success in this role.\nReporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, this key role will see you:\nDeliver best practice mining engineering services and support to the mine, supporting Zero Harm by ensuring compliance with all safety systems and legislation\nPlan and coordinate mine planning (weekly, short-range, Monthly, 5 yearly and business planning) and production review meetings\nMonitor, analyse and report mine on performance and manage projects.\nContribute to the effective management of ventilation, gas management, mine planning, and technical projects\nSupport designated process coordinators and interact effectively with the Operations team\nIdentify mine site productivity and process improvement programs, and more generally to find and raise improvement ideas in areas such as safety, production, cost and efficiency\nLead the permit to mine process to ensure all technical aspects are addressed to maintain continuity to production\nConsistently apply Safety & Health principles in all site interactions and take full ownership for safety on site\n Degree qualified Mining Engineer (or equivalent)\nA detailed understanding of the coal mining processes\nWorking knowledge of relevant mining legislation and its application\nA high level of planning and problem-solving ability\nWell-developed communication and collaboration skills\nPrevious experience within underground mining operations (preferably coal)\nPrevious experience with mine planning tools, such as XPAC, IntelliCAD, AutoCAD, Mine Planner, Deswik.\n Full-time permanent position based at Grosvenor Mine, Moranbah\nMonday to Friday staff roster (9-day fortnight available)\nCompetitive salary & annual bonus + 12% Superannuation\nResidential, FIFO (company funded) & DIDO options\nSubsidised accommodation and company funded camp options provided\nRelocation Assistance provided\nWhat we Offer\nWhen you join Anglo American, you can expect to enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package and a range of flexible work arrangements that support the balance of work, family and individual circumstances.
