Please be advised that Anglo-Eastern is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.\nThe Purchaser:\nindependently manages end-to-end procurement for assigned vessels, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective sourcing while operating within defined authority limits.\nThis role is responsible for ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective procurement of routine operational requirements while reducing administrative burden on vessels and technical teams.\nOperates within defined category scopes, service level agreements (SLAs), and delegated authority limits, working closely with Vessel Managers, Technical Officers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.\nObjective:\nThe primary objective of the role is to deliver consistent procurement service quality, enhance spend visibility and control, improve planning and forecasting, and support scalability of procurement operations as the fleet grows.\nRoles & Accountabilities:\nIndependently manage end-to-end procurement activities for assigned vessels and categories, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective sourcing.\nValidate requisitions for accuracy, urgency, and alignment with approved specifications, suppliers, and contract frameworks.\nFloat RFQs, evaluate quotations on commercial and delivery parameters, and recommend sourcing decisions within delegated authority limits.\nCreate, issue, and follow up on Purchase Orders, ensuring confirmations, deliveries, and documentation are completed within defined SLAs.\nHandle moderately complex and time-sensitive procurements, including coordination across multiple stakeholders and ports.\nAct as the first point of contact for vessels and suppliers for operational procurement-related matters.\nCoordinate with Technical Officers, Vessel Managers, and internal teams to resolve delivery issues, discrepancies, and clarifications.\nMonitor procurement timelines, proactively follow up to avoid delays, and escalate risks in a structured and timely manner.\nSupport data analysis, reporting, and follow-ups related to procurement performance, supplier responsiveness, and consumption trends.\nIdentify recurring operational issues and contribute practical improvement suggestions to enhance efficiency and standardisation within the Procurement Hub.\nAccountability Level:\nEnd-to-end operational delivery for assigned vessels with limited escalation and strong SLA adherence.\nRequirements\nKey Skills and Capabilities:\nTechnical Skills\nEnd-to-end operational procurement ownership for assigned vessels\nCommercial evaluation of quotations and sourcing recommendations\nStrong product knowledge - Marine procurement across multiple categories\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis, spend tracking, and trend identification\nUse of procurement dashboards, reports, and system data\nPreparation of structured updates and summaries using PowerPoint\nProfessional Skills\nStrong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills\nNegotiation skills within defined authority limits\nAnalytical thinking and data-driven decision-making\nAbility to prioritise, manage urgency, and handle escalations\nClear communication with vessels, suppliers, and internal stakeholders\nProfessional Experience and Education\n4+ years relevant procurement experience\nBachelor’s degree in supply chain, or related field\nBenefits\nWe aim to provide a dynamic, inclusive, and rewarding work environment where your ideas are valued, your professional growth is nurtured, and you are able contribute to shaping the future of the maritime industry and keeping the world connected.
