Sustainability is at the heart of our decision-making - it is how we do business\n About the Role\nWe are seeking a technically skilled and commercially minded Technical Co-ordinator to join our Supply Chain team in Cape Town. This role plays a critical part in supporting marine and mining operations through the effective management of repairable equipment, technical procurement activities, supplier engagement, and inventory control. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering teams, suppliers, and operational stakeholders to ensure the availability and integrity of critical equipment and spares.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide technical support to operational engineering teams to ensure the availability of critical spares and repairable equipment.\nCoordinate and manage the end-to-end repair process for equipment and rotable assets across Debmarine, DBGS, Venetia Mine and Namdeb operations. \nReceive, verify and process approved repair and procurement requisitions. \nIdentify suitable suppliers and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs). \nPerform technical and commercial evaluations of supplier quotations in collaboration with end users. \nPrepare and manage purchase orders, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.\nNegotiate pricing, commercial terms and supplier agreements to deliver value and cost savings. \nTrack and expedite orders to ensure delivery against agreed timelines. \nMonitor market trends, supplier performance and pricing movements.\nConduct supplier audits and evaluations to ensure quality and compliance standards are met. \nProvide technical guidance to stakeholders regarding equipment failures, repairs and improvement opportunities. \nAnalyse technical drawings, equipment reports and component failures to determine optimal repair solutions. \nCoordinate third-party quality inspections and support site health and safety requirements. \nMaintain accurate procurement, repair and inventory records while ensuring strong governance and controls.\n Qualified Artisan or equivalent technical qualification.\nRelevant experience in a mining and/or marine environment. \nExperience\n3 to 5 years' technical experience within a mining and/or marine environment. \nAdvantageous\n3 to 5 years' procurement experience within a mining and/or marine environment. \nExperience managing equipment repairs, refurbishment processes and technical procurement activities.\nKnowledge of marine mining processes, material requirements, classification requirements and statutory marine regulations.\nKnowledge and Skills\nThe successful candidate will demonstrate:\nWorking knowledge of SAP. \nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\nStrong technical and commercial acumen. \nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings. \nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. \nNegotiation and supplier relationship management skills.\nKnowledge of customs processes and requirements. \nStrong governance and compliance focus. \nExcellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills. \nStrong attention to detail and administration capability. \nAbility to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and adapt to changing business needs.\nKey Behaviours\nDriving Performance: Focused on accuracy, efficiency and continuous improvement while delivering results. \nCustomer Orientation: Committed to delivering exceptional service and building trusted relationships.\nImpact and Influence: Able to effectively influence stakeholders and achieve positive business outcomes.\n Our Values:\nPut Safety First - We consider all risks to people and the environment before proceeding with any activity.
