Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world.\n We are currently seeking a highly motivated training professional competent in developing, scheduling, and delivering training and related activities and ensuring compliance with corporate and statutory requirements.\nAs the Training Coordinator reporting to the Training Superintendent, your duties include:\nValidating training and assessment compliance of all Coal Mine workers at Capcoal.\nMaintaining compliance of the Site Induction and delivering Inductions to Employees and Contractors\nAssist in Coaching/Mentoring employees and contractors in developing skill/experience that’s relevant to work requirements to ensure all Coal Mine workers at Capcoal are trained, competent and authorised as per the Capcoal Mine Training and Competence Scheme.\nEnforcing the requirements of the Coal Mine Training and Competence Scheme and Training Process.\nUndertaking reviews on training performance, for continuous improvement of training procedures and processes.\nKnowledge of Learning Management Systems in maintaining site compliance and provision of governance to ensure the systems are applied consistently across the mine.\nEngage with key stakeholders in all aspects of training to assist in the delivery of the business plan.\nDemonstrate being a ‘Safety Leader’ and encourage people to be Safe at Work, engage with the workforce to improvement Safety Culture performance.\n The key attributes contributing to your success in this role will include:\nCertificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/22 or equivalent) or higher.\nOperational experience within coal mining is preferred.\nExperience using Microsoft Suite Applications including Excel and PowerPoint, and knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS).\nExperience in driving best practise through your department and into the business; this includes the development and implementation of strategy in line with business goals. \nExperience in assisting with Training departmental budget and expenditure.\nStrong interpersonal and negotiation skills to influence and achieve buy in from key stakeholders.\nExperience in dealing with high volume work during major works e.g. shutdowns\nAbility to be adaptable in changing situations and able to step through the issue using your strong problem-solving skills.\nProficiency in managing and delivering site-based training requirements and programs.\n Permanent, full-time position at Capcoal Mine, Middlemount QLD.\nMonday to Friday site role with the potential for a 9-day fortnight\nResidential, DIDO and FIFO (company funded) options\nCompetitive salary + 12% superannuation and annual bonus\nSubsidised housing, with relocation assistance if required\nDiscounted gym membership\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) for employees and their family\nWhat we offer\nWhen you join Anglo American, you can expect to enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package and a range of flexible work arrangements that support the balance of work, family and individual circumstances.
