These roles are open to school leavers, and anyone who may be looking for a new career opportunity.\nWhat You Will Be Doing\nAs an Apprentice Mechanical Maintenance (Fitting), you are responsible for maintaining the mechanical equipment and associated fixed plant infrastructure to maximise availability in a sustainable cost-effective manner for the process plant and associated infrastructure.\nClassroom training will be provided so that you can successfully and confidently complete your nationally recognised qualification.\nAs part of your Apprenticeship; you will learn\n\nCompetency and coursework requirements for MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitting)\nConfined Space Entry Training\nGain HRL EWP, forklift.\nWorking Safely at Heights Training\nWork with pumps and hydraulics, pneumatic systems, mechanical drives, and transmissions.\nUse workshop machines, hand and power tools\nArc welding and thermal cutting\nMeasuring and technical drawing\nWorkplace health and safety\nAGAA and site-specific training courses\nThe program will commence ASAP on an 8 days, 6 days off roster at Tropicana Gold Mine on a 4 year fixed term contract.\nAfter completing this Apprenticeship, your career as a Technician: Mechanical Maintenance Fitter will evolve.\nEligibility\n\nHave an unwavering commitment to safety. \nA pre- apprenticeship is desirable\nBe a team player with a willingness to deliver great outcomes for customers. \nBe flexible and thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment. \nAn interest in Technology including wireless data, systems etc \nMust have unrestricted(Manual) Licence or be working towards getting it.\nBe able to think logically and keep up with changes in technology. \nBe enthusiastic, motivated with a willingness to learn about this trade. \nSolid written and verbal communication skills. \nUnderground Mining Industry experience is desirable. \nHave the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance. \nHave existing and ongoing valid Australian working rights (Mandatory).\nTo be considered for a role you must submit a resume and complete all pre-screening questions in your application.
