This role ensures the safe, high-quality, and on-schedule installation of critical process systems, including crushing, conveying, grinding, heap leach, and ADR plant infrastructure.\nActing as a key field leader, this position coordinates contractors, engineering, and project teams to deliver efficient, compliant, and constructible process plant installations.\nKey Responsibilities\nSafety & Compliance\nPromote and enforce a strong safety culture aligned with MSHA regulations and AGA standards.\nLead daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).\nMonitor contractor compliance with safety plans and regulatory requirements.\nParticipate in incident investigations and support corrective action implementation.\nProcess Construction Execution\nSupervise installation of mechanical, piping, structural, and process systems across plant areas.\nOversee construction of key process infrastructure including crushing, conveying, grinding, heap leach, and ADR facilities.\nCoordinate work sequencing and ensure alignment with project schedules and priorities.\nMonitor contractor productivity, manpower, and quality of workmanship.\nEnsure construction activities meet approved IFC drawings, specifications, and engineering standards.\nIdentify and resolve field conflicts, constructability issues, and technical challenges.\nQuality & Turnover\nEnsure adherence to QA/QC requirements, inspection plans, and testing procedures.\nCoordinate inspections, punch-list development, and completion activities.\nSupport turnover documentation and readiness for commissioning.\nSchedule, Cost & Reporting\nTrack daily progress against milestones and identify risks to schedule.\nSupport monitoring of construction costs, change orders, and field impacts.\nValidate contractor time reporting, equipment use, and progress quantities.\nPrepare accurate daily and weekly field reports.\nCoordination & Communication\nServe as the primary field liaison between engineering, contractors, and project management.\nParticipate in coordination meetings, planning sessions, and progress reviews.\nCommunicate field issues proactively to minimize delays and support decision-making.\nRequirements\nAssociate degree, technical certification, or equivalent construction/process experience.\nKnowledge of MSHA and Nevada construction regulations.\nRigging or lifting certification is an asset.\nGeneral understanding of mining operations in rural Nevada.\n5-10 years of construction experience in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial projects.\nStrong experience in process plant construction, particularly mechanical and piping installation.\nFamiliarity with gold or base metals processing facilities preferred.\nAbility to interpret civil, structural, mechanical, and piping drawings.\nKnowledge of process plant systems and construction methodologies.\nExperience executing short-term construction plans and meeting production targets.\nUnderstanding of field logistics, equipment installation, and construction sequencing.\nStrong field leadership aligned with AGA values and safety expectations.\nAbility to manage contractors and lead diverse construction teams.\nExcellent communication and coordination skills across technical and field stakeholders.\nStrong organizational ability and attention to detail.\nResults-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and hold teams accountable.\nValid driver’s license required.\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States.\nAngloGold Ashanti Limited\nwww.anglogoldashanti.com\nBENEFITS:\nAngloGold Ashanti North America (AGANA) offers a competitive benefits package to include company paid medical, dental, and vision insurance premiums; flexible spending accounts; 401(k) retirement plan with employer match; vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays.
