Rather than generalized administrative tasks, you will be assigned a core technical project to own from start to finish. This role offers hands-on experience, culminating in an end-of-program presentation to technical leadership.\nKey Responsibilities\nTake ownership of a dedicated 12-week project, managing timelines, and delivering a final technical report and presentation.\nClean, analyze, and model complex datasets related to mining, mobile fleet, and/or process plant metrics across gold mines\nEngage stakeholders to validate data and models.\nSet data-driven performance targets and garner mine-site support.\nGuide mine-site personnel through project ideation and planning process to close gap to targets.\nQualifications & Requirements\nCurrently enrolled as a rising senior in an Undergraduate program or final-year Master's student pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a closely related field.\nFoundational knowledge of the Global Industry Standard for Tailings Management (GISTM) and TSF operational best practices.\nFamiliarity with the basic principles of Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) design and construction.\nAcademic or practical understanding of soil mechanics and how to assess structural stability.\nStrong commitment to strict safety standards, TSF governance, and regulatory compliance.\nExcellent technical writing, reporting, and presentation skills.\nProven ability to analyze datasets, draw logical conclusions, and present findings clearly.\nCollaborative mindset with a strong eagerness to learn and proactively ask questions.\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States.\nValid driver’s license required; willingness to travel to project sites if necessary.\nFall Recruitment Timeline & Hiring Milestones\nSeptember 15 - October 30, 2026 (Application Review): Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
