This role is responsible for developing and coaching teams, optimizing resources, managing costs, resolving production issues, and maintaining high standards of health, safety, and performance.\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities\nDirectly responsible for the day to day operations of production output, quality, and efficiency\nMonitor production efficiency by identifying areas for improvement and recommending changes necessary to increase efficiencies.\nOptimize and improve process work flows for efficient operations\nLead long-term improvement initiatives and utilize expertise to find new opportunities to improve various aspects of performance.\nMonitor and adjust work force requirements by maximizing production opportunities with a high degree of labour utilization.\nRecognizes issues and focuses on corrective actions\nUtilize technical experience and collaborate with maintenance to troubleshoot and resolve production downtime events\nProvide direction, coaching and mentoring to Supervisors/TL’s\nEnsure teams are properly trained for their roles; drive cross training and continuous learning\nProvide development opportunities to improve knowledge and capabilities.\nManage direct production resources in the plant, including recommendations for hiring, performance management and terminations.\nDevelop, update and maintain budgets, including monitoring and managing costs associated with the Machining and Production process.\nLead root cause analysis of production issues and incident analysis.\nProvide individual feedback through regular interactions and formal annual performance reviews.\nMotivate and engage employees; provide coaching to create a culture of empowerment.\nProvide strong leadership in health & safety and housekeeping initiatives.\nResponsible for accurate and timely reporting on KPI’s\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications and Competencies\nRelevant College Diploma and/or equivalent work-related experience required.\n8-10 years industrial manufacturing experience, 5 years of direct supervisory experience\nLean Manufacturing training and experience would be an asset.\nStrong problem-solving skills (RCCA)\nAbility to work under pressure;
