Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role entails overseeing all aspects of financial control and ensuring accuracy and compliance.\n\nEssential Functions - Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nTake charge of all accounting and financial statement preparation activities and lead a team of four professionals in the accounting department.\nEnsure accuracy and compliance in the preparation of company financial statements.\nManage the daily operations of the department, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, accounting, fixed assets, and cash management.\nMonitor and analyze accounting data to produce accurate financial reports and statements compliant with GAAP principles. \nAdminister and implement robust internal financial controls and procedures to uphold the integrity of financial operations.\nManage compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and collaborate with external firms on tax filings.\nLead the coordination of the annual financial statement audit with external partners, overseeing both interim procedures and year-end audit processes.\nAnalyze existing processes and procedures to identify opportunities for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness in the financial statement preparation process.\nPerform any other duties as required in support of the overall financial management objectives.\nEducation and Experience\n10+ years of accounting and finance experience\nPrior experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Director or similar\nExperience in a manufacturing company and cost accounting\nStrong knowledge of accounting principles and reporting standards\nCPA or CMA certification\nNot Required but a Plus:\nExperience working in Infor, Epicor, or MS Great Plains\nExperience with ERP implementation or at a public company\nCash/AP/AR process automation software\nCompetencies\nStrong work ethic, initiative, and commitment to the business\nSuperior organization skills, ability to prioritize, multi-task and delegate\nPositive attitude and teamwork among all internal and external
