The Quality Engineer will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and customers to ensure products meet internal specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.\nThis role is responsible for leading root cause investigations, driving corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), supporting audits, monitoring process performance, reducing quality costs, and improving manufacturing processes through Lean, Six Sigma, and quality engineering methodologies.\nThis position serves as a key liaison between Quality and Operations, supporting Anomatic's strategic objectives related to operational excellence, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. This individual will provide direct quality engineering support to the Anodizing Department, driving process improvements, defect reduction, root cause investigations, and overall product quality performance.\nEssential Responsibilities\nQuality Systems & Compliance\nSupport and maintain compliance with ISO 9001, GMP, customer-specific requirements, and internal quality management system standards.\nLead investigations related to nonconforming product, customer complaints, supplier issues, and internal quality concerns.\nFacilitate CAPA activities and ensure timely implementation and effectiveness verification.\nAssist with document control, SOP development, work instructions, control plans, and process standards.\nParticipate in internal audits, supplier audits, customer audits, and third-party certification audits.\nManufacturing Quality Support\nPartner with Production and Engineering teams to improve process capability and reduce variation.\nAnalyze production data and identify opportunities to improve yield, scrap, efficiency, and product quality.\nDevelop and maintain inspection plans, quality checks, and process monitoring requirements.\nSupport first piece inspections, process validations, and qualification activities.\nReview and analyze quality trends, defects, and recurring issues to drive sustainable solutions.\nContinuous Improvement\nUtilize Lean, Six Sigma, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and other problem-solving tools to eliminate waste and improve performance.\nLead cross-functional improvement projects focused on quality, cost reduction, productivity, and risk mitigation.\nSupport PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans, Risk Assessments, and Process Mapping activities.\nPromote a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.\nCustomer & Supplier Quality\nSupport customer complaint investigations and communicate findings effectively.\nPrepare and submit corrective action responses to customers and suppliers.\nMonitor supplier quality performance and participate in supplier development initiatives.\nAssist with PPAP submissions, qualification activities, and customer-specific quality requirements.\nReporting & Metrics\nDevelop and present quality metrics including:\nPPM\nCustomer complaints\nRMA trends\nCost of Poor Quality\nScrap and rework\nInternal audit results\nCAPA effectiveness\nSupplier performance\nPrepare reports and presentations for leadership or customer review meetings.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field.\nEquivalent manufacturing quality experience may be considered in lieu of education.\n2+ years of quality engineering or quality supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment.\nMinimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with responsibilities related to quality, engineering, operations, continuous improvement, production support, process optimization, auditing, or problem-solving activities.\nDemonstrated ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and drive process improvements.\nDemonstrated ability to lead a team across multiple shifts effectively\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience within cosmetics, packaging, metal finishing, automotive, medical device, consumer products, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.\nExperience with:\nISO 9001\nISO 15378\nGMP environments\nSPC\nPPAP\nMSA\nPFMEA\nControl Plans\nRoot Cause Analysis\nCertified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green Belt, Lean Certification, or comparable credential preferred.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nStrong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
