This role sets technical direction and standards across the full stack - application, data, infrastructure, and security - and acts as the primary architectural authority for how Aperture is built, deployed, and scaled.\nThis is a hands-on architecture leadership role: the Enterprise Architect will design and govern solutions across a modern cloud-native stack (AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, GitOps via Argo CD), a .NET/React application layer, and a PostgreSQL data tier, while partnering closely with engineering, data analytics, and IT leadership to ensure Aperture scales reliably to meet growing business and compliance demands.\nThe below is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job and is not to be construed as an exhaustive statement of essential functions, responsibilities, or requirements.\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities\nOwn the overall architecture and technical roadmap for the Aperture platform, from application design through infrastructure and deployment\nDefine and enforce architecture standards, design patterns, and coding practices across the .NET/React application stack\nDesign and evolve the data architecture on PostgreSQL, including schema strategy, performance, and data integrity\nArchitect and govern the AWS cloud environment, including EKS/Kubernetes cluster design, networking, scaling, and cost management\nOwn the GitOps deployment model using Argo CD, ensuring reliable, auditable, and repeatable releases\nEstablish branching, code review, and CI/CD standards within Bitbucket to support consistent, high-quality delivery\nDesign and maintain identity and access architecture using Microsoft Entra, ensuring secure authentication and authorization across the platform\nPartner with engineering, product, and data analytics teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs\nEvaluate new technologies and architectural patterns, making build-vs-buy and platform evolution recommendations\nLead architecture reviews, document key decisions (ADRs), and mentor engineers on architectural best practices\nEnsure the platform meets security, compliance, and reliability requirements appropriate to a specialty pharmacy handling sensitive healthcare data\nOwn capacity planning, performance, and disaster recovery strategy for the platform\nPartner with our current systems integrator (SI) partner to validate and align architecture direction\nRegular and reliable attendance is expected. \nOther work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager. \nMinimum Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills Required\n\nEducation/Experience\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)\n10+ years in software/enterprise architecture roles, including experience owning architecture for a production platform end-to-end\nProven experience architecting cloud-native applications on AWS at production scale\nTrack record of setting technical direction across full-stack teams (application, data, and infrastructure)\nExperience in a regulated industry (healthcare, pharmacy, or similarly compliance-driven environment) preferred\nTechnical Skills\n Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS (deep hands-on experience across core services), AWS EKS and Kubernetes cluster architecture and operations\nDeployment & CI/CD: Argo CD and GitOps deployment models; Bitbucket for source control, branching strategy, and pipelines\n Application Stack: Core .NET (C#) for backend services; React for front-end architecture\nData: PostgreSQL - schema design, performance tuning, and data architecture at scale\n Identity & Security: Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) for identity, authentication, and access architecture\nStrong understanding of microservices, API design, containerization, and distributed systems patterns\nFamiliarity with infrastructure as code and observability/monitoring practices in a Kubernetes environment\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience architecting platforms in specialty pharmacy, healthcare, or life sciences, with familiarity with HIPAA and related compliance requirements\nExperience standing up or scaling an enterprise architecture function within a mid-size IT organization\nRelevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Certified Kubernetes Administrator/CKA, TOGAF)\nExperience with data platforms supporting reporting and analytics workloads\nPrior experience presenting architecture strategy to senior IT and business leadership\nThis description is intended to be only a general outline of major activities.
