Because it happens here. \nJob Summary:\nEvent Support Technician will be on-site supporting events at Crypto.com Arena, the Peacock Theater, and LA Live Campus. The technician will be responsible for set-up, tear-down, and troubleshooting of all technology (IT & Telecomm) needs.\nEssential Functions:\nFollow detailed instructions as it pertains to the set-up of equipment and work independently while meeting all set-up timelines/deadlines. Must verify all set-ups are accurate according to request.\nHandle physical tasks indoors/outdoors involving placement and setup of network equipment. Troubleshoot & test connectivity (wired & Wi-Fi) as necessary.\nResponsible for event phone placement and recovery of equipment after event.\nVerify dial tone test numbers accordingly and match documentation to breakout boxes and jacks for placement according to set-up request.\nAssist with troubleshooting suite scanners as needed.\nMake custom-length CAT5e network cables in the field using RJ45 connectors and crimping tools. Coordinate with Network Team to activate Ethernet ports on required VLAN’s through patch panels and respective network switches.\nExtend CAT5e Ethernet cable and secure with gaffer's tape according to specific venue requirements/floor plan instructions as directed.\nMaintain record of activated wall jacks and network switch ports.\nAssist with adds, moves, and changes on phones when needed.\nPull cable when necessary.\nRequired Qualifications:\nA minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency. \nA minimum of 3 years of related work experience.\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in supporting TCP/IP data networks and network infrastructure.\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in support Microsoft XP/Vista/7, Mac OS & iOS Devices.\nKnowledge of good customer support practices and procedures.\nNetwork infrastructure knowledge: Patch panels, fiber, switches, SOHO routers, wireless networking devices, Ethernet extenders, cable testers, etc.\nCommunicate clearly and professionally with all clients/end users.\nAbility to compose detailed incident reports.\nPunctual in accordance with event schedule or directives.\nGood network troubleshooting skills.\nAbility to successfully connect devices to the network (wired & Wi-Fi).\nAbility to support Cisco Stadium Vision IPTV devices: Digital Media Players, Tablets, and IP Phones.\nAbility to safely lift at least 50 lbs.unassisted in the course of equipment move and setup.\nAbility to be mobile, kneel down, bend, crawl, and go up steps/ladders.\nCCNA - Cisco Certified Network Technician\nA+/ Network + andor CCNA certification is a plus\nMust be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. \nPayscale: $24.85 - $31.67\nBenefits: Part-time: This position may be eligible for benefits (ACA qualification).\nAEG's policy is to hire the most qualified applicants, and we comply with all applicable federal, state and local employment laws in making hiring and employee decisions.
