Responsibilities\n· Build and maintain RFQ cost models covering material, BOP, manufacturing, labour, tooling, logistics, quality and CAPEX.\n· Interpret customer 2D drawings, 3D CAD data and technical specifications to understand manufacturing requirements and the key cost drivers of the groups engineered products.\n· Identify any inaccuracies or missing data from the customer enquiry pack and inform the relevant account manager, listing all technical assumptions and risks to ensure timely follow up of RFQs.\n· Develop, challenge and validate manufacturing assumptions including process route, material utilisation, cycle time, labour content, tooling and checking fixture requirements.\n· Coordinate inputs from Engineering, Tooling, Purchasing, MP&L, Quality, Production and Finance.\n· Challenge assumptions constructively using facts, data, manufacturing knowledge and historical evidence.\n· Benchmark Ricor costs against historical data, market information and alternative manufacturing approaches to identify opportunities and risks.\n· Identify cost reduction and margin improvement opportunities.\n· Maintain clear traceability of costing assumptions, source data, risks and changes.\n· Present the cost position, assumptions, sensitivities and risks clearly to Commercial for review and approval.\n· Support Commercial during customer negotiations by providing factual cost analysis and technical justification.\n· Continuously update costing databases, standardised estimating tools and reference documentation.\nExperience & Technical Capability\nEssential\n· Cost engineering, estimating or manufacturing engineering experience within automotive, defence, off-highway or industrial manufacturing.\n· Strong understanding of high and low volume manufacturing processes and the ability to translate a manufacturing route into accurate cost.\n· Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and CAD data, including
