In this role\nyou own our SAP analytics platform with SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud within SAP Business\nData Cloud and you build the AI solutions on top of it. The role is deliberately hands-on: you model data,\nwrite Python, build agents and set the standards that make analytics and AI work at scale across an\ninternational organisation.\nYour Tasks\nOwn the architecture, development and operation of our analytics platform based on SAP Datasphere and SAP\nAnalytics Cloud within SAP Business Data Cloud.\nDesign and build data models, views, analytic models, replication and federation flows and task chains,\nintegrating SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA and non-SAP sources.\nDevelop and maintain SAC models, stories and analytic applications, and ensure performance, usability and\nconsistent KPI definitions across business functions.\nIdentify, qualify and prioritise AI use cases together with the business, including feasibility, value and risk.\nDesign, build and productionise RAG pipelines with ingestion, chunking, embeddings, retrieval, re-ranking,\ngrounding and evaluation of answer quality.\nBuild, deploy and maintain AI agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio and comparable frameworks, and integrate\nthem into Teams, M365 and core enterprise systems.\nDevelop reusable Python components, APIs and services, applying version control, testing, code review and\nCI/CD practices.\nEstablish evaluation, monitoring, logging and guardrails so that AI solutions are measurable, traceable, cost -\ncontrolled and safe to operate.\nTake use cases from proof of concept into production, documented and properly handed over to operations.\nProvide technical leadership and mentoring to team members, key users and external partners, including design\nand code reviews.\nMaintain the analytics and AI roadmap and work with Data Protection, Information Security and Legal to meet\nGDPR, EU AI Act and internal requirements.\nBuild analytics and AI literacy across the organisation through training, documentation and communities of\npractice.\nYour Profile\nUniversity degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Information Systems, Data Science,\nMathematics, Engineering or a related field.\nMinimum of 7 years of professional experience in data and analytics, with a career start in BI / analytics and a\nsubsequent move into AI.\nHands-on expertise in SAP Datasphere (spaces, Data Builder, views, analytic models, replication and\nfederation flows, task chains) and in SAP Analytics Cloud (models, stories, analytic applications, live and import\nconnections, row-level security).\nWorking understanding of SAP Business Data Cloud, including data products, foundation services and the\ninterplay between SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud and Databricks.\nStrong data modelling and SQL skills, including semantic layer design, performance tuning and data quality.\nHands-on programming experience in Python for data and AI workloads, with Git-based version control and\ntesting.\nPractical experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio: agents, topics, knowledge sources, actions and connectors,\nPower Platform integration and deployment governance.\nDemonstrated experience building RAG pipelines and taking AI agents into production, including orchestration,\ntool calling, guardrails, observability and evaluation.\nSolid understanding of LLM fundamentals: prompt engineering, context management, structured output, model\nselection and hallucination mitigation.\nExperience leading a workstream, squad or small team, including technical guidance and quality assurance of\nthe work of others.\nAwareness of AI and data governance requirements such as GDPR, the EU AI Act and responsible AI\nprinciples.\nFluent English; German is a plus.\nCertifications in SAP Datasphere / SAP Analytics Cloud and in AI (e.g. Microsoft AI-102, Copilot Studio\ncredentials).
