PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, packages and database triggers using Oracle or Sybase databases.\nDevelop Unix/Linux Shell scripts using Bash or KornShell (Ksh) for job scheduling, file processing, data validation and operational automation.\nImplement and support batch processing workflows, scheduled jobs, data loading, file transfers and backend data reconciliation.\nTroubleshoot application and database performance issues through log analysis, SQL execution plan review and root cause analysis.\nPerform code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, defect resolution and deployment verification.\nSupport production incidents, change requests, application releases and service restoration, implementing corrective and preventive measures.\nAutomate repetitive operational tasks and improve batch processing efficiency, monitoring and error handling.\nMaintain technical specifications, application flow diagrams, deployment procedures and production support documentation.\nCollaborate with business analysts, database administrators, infrastructure teams and application support teams to deliver system enhancements.\nMandatory Skills & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.\nMinimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in software development and enterprise application support.\nStrong hands-on programming experience in Java, Core Java and object-oriented programming.\nProficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, complex queries, stored procedures and database performance tuning.\nPractical experience with Oracle or Sybase relational databases.\nStrong Unix/Linux Shell scripting skills, including Bash or Ksh, file manipulation, process monitoring and job automation.\nExperience in backend processing, batch jobs, scheduled workflows, file handling and data reconciliation.\nExperience in application debugging, log analysis, production incident management and root cause analysis.\nKnowledge of unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, version control and software release processes.\nFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum or Waterfall software development methodologies.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting and technical documentation skills.\nPreferred SkillsExperience supporting banking and financial services applications, transaction processing or financial data systems.\nFamiliarity with job schedulers, batch monitoring and enterprise file transfer mechanisms.\nExposure to performance tuning, application monitoring and production
