The role focuses on validating core banking functionality, financial transactions, system interfaces, database integrity and end-to-end banking workflows.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nAnalyse functional specifications, business requirements and technical designs to develop test scenarios, test cases and traceability matrices.\nExecute functional, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression and end-to-end testing for Avaloq core banking applications.\nValidate core banking workflows covering account maintenance, customer data, deposits, payments, transaction processing and financial postings, where applicable.\nPerform REST API testing using Postman or similar tools to validate requests, responses, HTTP status codes, authentication and data mapping.\nExecute SQL queries to verify database records, transaction entries, data consistency and reconciliation results.\nTest interfaces between Avaloq and downstream or upstream banking systems, including transaction feeds, batch jobs and data exchange processes.\nPrepare test data, test scripts, expected results and execution evidence; maintain requirement-to-test traceability.\nLog, classify and track defects using Jira or Azure DevOps, perform retesting and coordinate defect resolution with development and business teams.\nDevelop and maintain automated regression scripts using Python, Playwright or comparable testing frameworks, where applicable.\nSupport release testing, deployment verification, production incident investigation and post-implementation validation.\nCollaborate with business analysts, developers, product owners and operations teams in Agile or Waterfall delivery environments.\nMandatory Skills & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.\nHands-on experience in Avaloq core banking application testing, implementation or production support.\nBanking and Financial Services domain knowledge, including transaction processing, account servicing, payment workflows and financial data validation.\nPractical experience in functional testing, SIT, UAT, regression, integration and end-to-end testing.\nProficiency in SQL-based database testing, including SELECT queries, joins, data comparison and transaction validation.\nExperience in REST API testing using Postman or similar tools, including response validation and interface testing.\nExperience in test case design, test data preparation, defect lifecycle management and test execution reporting.\nFamiliarity with Jira or Azure DevOps for defect tracking and test management.\nExposure to test automation using Python, Playwright or equivalent frameworks.\nExperience testing system interfaces, batch processing, data migration or reconciliation processes.\nUnderstanding of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall software development and testing lifecycles.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting,
