This role will sit on the Global SDx LT and expected to not only contribute to functional matters but enterprise business strategy and goals.\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of legal matters across our global operations, providing expert counsel to in all legal matters, including regulatory responsibilities in pharmacy, animal health, diagnostics service, and broadly health science matters. This is a senior leadership role that requires a strong business acumen and the ability to provide practical, solutions-oriented legal advice in a fast-paced, global and matrixed environment.\nThe Target Pay Range for this position is $305,00-$382,000 annually. At SDx/Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nPeople Leadership: This role will manage a direct team of 4 legal professionals, including being responsible for hiring, managing, and mentoring\n\nManage legal team to support the business operations to provide accurate and comprehensive legal advice and recommendations\n\nProvides legal counsel to senior leadership of the Company, on all matters that affect the Company, including providing risk assessment and guidance\n\nManages material litigation and other disputes\n\nSupports corporate governance and regulatory and compliance matters for the Company.\n\nResponsible for the selection, retention, management, evaluation, and optimization of all outside legal counsel\n\nParticipates in the development, review and/or implementation of company-wide policies and procedures\n\nMaintains awareness of current and applicable developments in the legal and regulatory landscape; continually reviewing and analyzing legal risks, opportunities and trends that could impact company’s business\n\nLeads negotiation and drafting of material contracts, including acquisition, investment, manufacturing, license, development, purchasing, logistics, consulting, and other agreements\n\nEnsures the production of accurate and well documented research, analysis and recommendations for legal and regulatory issues and inquiries made by management\n\nSupports management and operations teams with wide-ranging initiatives, including strategic partnership and merger and acquisition activities\n\nHigh collaboration with various functions, management and Associates f to address wide ranging issues to support business operations\n\nGlobal Experience: Proven experience providing legal counsel in a global business environment, with a strong understanding of international legal and regulatory issues\n\nEducation and Experience\nJuris Doctorate from an accredited law school\n\nLicensed to practice law in California or New York\n\nA minimum of 10-15 years of proven legal experience in both law firms and in-house settings\n\nBroad knowledge of mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, litigation, and intellectual property\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nExcellent legal and business judgment, strategic thinking, and ability to manage multiple matters, with a willingness and curiosity to learn areas outside of expertise\n\nAbility to dissect and clearly communicate complex legal topics in a simple, actionable manner\n\nDetail-oriented and organized leader, with unrivaled ethics, integrity, and ability to prioritize effectively to accommodate tight deadlines in a dynamic start-up environment\n\nExcellent interpersonal skills to develop strong relationships across the company by collaborating with cross-functional teams\n\nThe ability to achieve mutually satisfying agreements in negotiations with others by listening to their objectives, acting as the company's representative to effectively communicate the company's objective, and seeking common ground and collaborative solutions\n\nThe skill to influence others, develop and maintain working relationships, and deliver results and/or expertise for a client in a professional manner\n\nManage multiple high-priority assignments simultaneously and performs in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to ensure that schedule, scope of work, quality, deadlines and other organizational needs are met\n\nProfessional demeanor and ability to work independently and as part of a team\n\nMust be proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet applications\n\nTravel\nTravel: Up to 25% of time in various locations\n\nAbout Antech\nAntech is a leader in veterinary diagnostics, driven by our passion for innovation that delivers better animal health outcomes.
