At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget.\nJob Purpose/Overview\nThe Laboratory Administrative Assistant is responsible for processing and transcribing data in the laboratory system and redirect them as necessary.\nAccessions samples upon receipt, prepares paperwork and performs data entry into LIMS. \nProcesses data and transcribes data in LIMS and sends or prints reports in various formats.\nServes as Archivist for both GLP and non-GLP studies. \nManages audit responses from lab and coordinates with PI and Lab Director on timely audit responses to QA.\nManages long-term sample storage inventory and return of samples to clients. Oversees specialty sample storage inventory and sample return.\nAssists ClinAxys Administrator with setting up studies, users and general process improvements for LIMS.\nOversees the timely shipment of samples to third party labs. Ensures that accessioning of all studies is taken place in a timely manner. Coordinates with Data Entry, PI, Lab Director and/or clients on problem resolution.\nOversees kit production and re-supply of kits to support various animal health clinical trials\nManages permit applications for import of samples from various international locations.\nProvides billing assistance to Laboratory Director. Works with clients and Finance department to obtain necessary purchase orders and documentation for proper billing.\nReview and follow required SOPs to direct the conduct of procedures and processes to assure completion of studies under the applicable regulations.\nCompletes documentation required for GLP compliance.\nOther duties as assigned by management to maintain GLP compliance and operation of the GLP laboratory at Antech Diagnostics.\nEducation and Experience\nBS Degree in Science related field preferred\nGLP or related regulatory experience is helpful, but not required.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nAttention to detail and organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment\nReasoning and analytical skills to resolve issues\nCommunication skills, both verbal and written\nProficiency in the English language which allows for participation in team meetings, accurate entry of data into company systems and understanding of written directions\nAttention to detail and organized with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment\nPositive, can-do attitude\nData Entry skills\nPersonal computer skills, including strong typing ability and proficient use of Microsoft Office\nWorking Conditions\nStationary Position- must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 2 hours.\nConstantly operates a computer and other lab equipment accurately and efficiently.\nOccasionally required to bend, kneel, stoop, or crouch\nRequired to lift, move, and carry up to 50 lbs.\nExtended hours may be needed\nLaboratory environments with potential biohazards present that are mitigated by the mandatory use of PPE\nWork under close to moderate supervision. \nPotential for exposure to agents known to cause zoonotic disease in humans and use of potentially hazardous chemicals as defined by the National Hazard Communication Standards.
