Includes the following and other duties as assigned.\nUnder general supervision, this position will:\nResponsible for performing internal audits as listed in the annual Internal Audit Plan such as Operational, Financial, Compliance, ESG, Management, or Audit Committee special requests, etc.\nAssist the team and work on a variety of special projects. Including SOX compliance test plans, execute testing, and reporting. Communicate results to management as necessary.\nAudit the data of various departments and activities in order to verify accuracy and compliance with plans, policies, and procedures.\nPrepare and review audit files and reports in compliance with departmental standards as well as industry standards. Complete concise file documentation with accurate explanations of issues and areas audited.\nIdentify and document control exceptions and process improvement opportunities. Apply judgment to develop recommendations to address control exceptions and communicate these recommendations to management.\nFollow up with process owners to track the status of remediation efforts and assist in process improvement efforts.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation, Experience, Licensure (minimum level required)\nBachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.\nField of Study: Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.\nEligible for or pursing a relevant professional license.\nCORE COMPETENCIES\nList and describe the required factors (i.e. knowledge, skills, abilities, software programs), that are needed for this role.\nGood organizational skills with attention to detail.\nBasic understanding of business processes and financial statement risks and controls.\nProficiency in desktop packages such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio and Power Point.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to handle conflicts, listens to others, flexibility in communication style, and responds professionally.\nFlexible and adaptable and functions well as a team player.\nComfortable working with diverse skill sets and personalities.\nGood project and time management skills including multi-tasking, deadline management, tolerance for uncertainty and adaptability.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nFunctions as an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibilities.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
