In this role, you will lead the development of sustainability narratives, messaging frameworks and creative communications strategies for global clients across topics such as climate, nature, circularity and regenerative agriculture.\nYou will combine research, insights and strategic thinking to help clients solve complex challenges through compelling brand and communications strategies. Working with multidisciplinary teams, you will lead projects independently, build trusted client relationships and contribute to business growth and thought leadership.\n\nThis role is ideal for someone with a background in sustainability communications, brand strategy, communications planning or strategic consulting, who can translate complex sustainability topics into engaging narratives, campaigns and creative propositions.\nKey Responsibilities\nClient Strategy & Project Leadership\nLead strategic workstreams and manage projects end-to-end with minimal supervision.\nDesign and deliver research programmes, including research proposals, surveys, interviews and discussion guides.\nAnalyse insights from qualitative and quantitative research to uncover opportunities and inform strategic recommendations.\nDevelop positioning platforms, sustainability narratives, messaging frameworks, campaign strategies and creative territories.\nCreate clear, compelling and commercially impactful strategic recommendations that address client challenges.\nPresent strategic thinking confidently to clients, facilitating discussions and responding effectively to feedback and questions.\nCollaborate with creative, account management and subject matter expert teams to translate strategy into impactful communications outputs.\nClient Relationships\nBuild trusted relationships with clients through strong strategic counsel and project leadership.\nNavigate complex conversations and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.\nSupport client growth by identifying opportunities for additional strategic support and services.\nTeam Leadership\nSupport and mentor junior strategists and consultants through effective briefing, delegation and coaching.\nContribute to building a high-performing strategy team by sharing knowledge, approaches and best practices.\nHelp drive strategic excellence across projects and encourage innovative thinking within the team.\nNew Business & Commercial Growth\nSupport and lead strategic input into proposals, pitches and new business conversations.\nDefine compelling narratives and proposition stories for prospective clients.\nContribute to scopes of work, project approaches and strategic methodologies.\nIdentify opportunities to improve project delivery, strategic outputs and team processes.\nThought Leadership\nRegularly contribute articles, reports, opinion pieces and industry commentary.\nStay informed on emerging sustainability, communications and cultural trends.\nRepresent the team externally where appropriate through events, webinars and industry forums.\n\nSkills, Knowledge & Expertise\nEssential\n5-8 years' experience in strategy, brand consulting, communications planning, sustainability communications or a related field.\nProven experience developing communications strategies, messaging frameworks, brand positioning and campaign platforms.\nStrong understanding of sustainability topics such as climate action, decarbonisation, circular economy, nature, biodiversity and regenerative agriculture.\nAbility to translate technical or complex sustainability issues into clear, engaging and actionable narratives.\nExperience leading qualitative and quantitative research programmes and turning insights into strategic recommendations.\nExcellent presentation, storytelling and facilitation skills.\nStrong client management experience with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.\nExperience managing multiple projects simultaneously and working independently.\nCommercial awareness and ability to contribute to new business development activities.\nExcellent written communication skills and experience producing high-quality reports, strategic frameworks and thought leadership content.\nDesirable\nAgency, consultancy or brand strategy background.\nExperience working with sustainability, ESG or purpose-led brands and organisations.\nExperience facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions.\nExperience mentoring or managing junior team members.\nUnderstanding of behaviour change, audience segmentation and communications effectiveness measurement.\n\nJob Benefits\nWork within a highly motivated team in an innovative and rapidly growing global company \n Opportunity to have a direct impact and be a key part of the growth and development of the business and the team \n Competitive salary in line with, experience and skills \n Competitive benefits including flexible working, 25 days holiday and two volunteering days off and the day off for your Birthday!
