Learn more at anthonysylvan.com.\nAbout the Role\nIn this role, you’ll receive hands-on, on-the-job training while working alongside experienced Pool Technicians to learn the fundamentals of pool cleaning, equipment service, and repair. You’ll assist with pool openings and closings, support equipment upgrades and installations, and gain valuable technical skills in a real-world setting. This position is ideal for someone eager to learn a skilled trade, work outdoors, and build a foundation for a long-term career in pool service and maintenance.\n General Summary of Position\nIn this position you will receive on-the-job training and will be responsible for assisting Pool Technicians on cleaning pools, servicing and repairing pool-related equipment; helping them perform Opening and Closing of pools and upgrading and installing equipment.\nEssential Functions and Responsibilities\nAssist with swimming pool cleanings, water testing, and the removal and installation of pool covers and pool equipment\nSupport Service Technicians with basic pool and equipment repairs, including leak detection, plumbing assistance, and equipment servicing or replacement\nLoad, unload, and organize service vehicles for daily routes; assist with material handling and general vehicle and job-site housekeeping\nSafely handle and apply pool chemicals, including chlorine, algaecides, pH balancers, and muriatic acid, in accordance with manufacturer and technician instructions\nInteract with Service Technicians, scheduling team, and management to support repair and maintenance schedules and promote efficient, quality service\nAnswer basic customer questions regarding pool maintenance, equipment operation, and service recommendations in a helpful and professional manner\nLearn and utilize the Work Order platform for accurate and timely service documentation; assist with promoting equipment upgrades and service offerings as directed, with overtime and Saturday work required during peak seasons\nOther duties as assigned\nQUALIFICATIONS - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma/GED preferred\nLicenses/Certifications\nN/A\nYears of Experience\nSome technical experience preferred (i.e. HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool service/repair).\nRequired Skills & Abilities\nMust be a team player with a strong work ethic, excellent computer skills and a positive approach to customer service.\nExcellent organization skills, quick learner, result oriented, highly detailed, with interpersonal and communication skills are required.\nTeam player with customer focus and self-motivation.\nAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to perform the essential functions of the role.\nTravel Requirements\n90-100%\nOther Requirements\nReliable transportation to and from work required.\nAbility to operate a motor vehicle preferred\nFlexibility on schedule required including working outside of a “scheduled shift” as well as evenings, weekends and potentially holidays during peak season\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nAbility to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions\nAbility to lift and carry up to 100 pounds\nAbility to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl\nAbility to operate heavy machinery or tools (with or without assistive devices)\nAbility to wear required PPE (e.g., hard hats, safety boots, gloves)\nAbility to communicate promptly and clearly via phone and computer\nACKNOWLEDGEMENT\nPosition duties and expectations change over time.
