You will manage the full accounting cycle, work closely with manufacturing, procurement, engineering, operations, and senior leadership, and provide timely, meaningful financial analysis.\nKey Responsibilities\nFinancial Reporting and Accounting\nOwn the full accounting cycle and lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.\nPrepare accurate financial statements and management reports.\nReview GL accounts, reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.\nOversee AP, AR, payroll accounting, and cash reconciliations.\nMaintain accounting policies, documentation, and financial records.\nSupport multi-entity, multi-currency, and consolidated reporting as we grow.\nManufacturing Cost Accounting\nDevelop and maintain product-costing methodologies and standard costs.\nOversee inventory valuation, WIP, finished goods, and COGS.\nAnalyze material, labour, overhead, purchasing, and production variances.\nPartner with manufacturing and engineering to improve BOMs, routings, and labour allocations.\nMonitor cycle counts, physical inventories, obsolescence, and write-downs.\nAnalyze production costs, yields, scrap, rework, and efficiency.\nEstablish controls for purchasing, inventory, production, and capital equipment.\nSupport make-versus-buy and other manufacturing financial analyses.\nBudgeting, Forecasting and Analysis\nSupport annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow planning.\nProvide financial insight for operational and strategic decisions.\nPartner with department leaders on cost visibility and budget accountability.\nSupport working-capital management and expenditure planning.\nInternal Controls and Process Improvement\nDesign and maintain financial controls, approval processes, and segregation of duties.\nIdentify control gaps and lead corrective actions.\nStandardize and automate accounting and reporting processes as we scale.\nSupport ERP and accounting system implementation and optimization.\nAudit, Tax and Compliance\nLead annual audits as primary contact for external auditors.\nSupport corporate tax, sales tax, government reporting, and regulatory compliance.\nAssist with government funding, grants, tax credits, and SR&ED documentation.\nCoordinate with external accountants, tax advisors, and financial institutions.\nFinancial Leadership\nAct as a senior financial partner to the CFO and leadership team.\nTranslate complex financial and operational information into clear recommendations.\nBuild scalable financial practices while staying hands-on in day-to-day accounting.\nSupport and mentor accounting team members as the function grows.\nQualifications\n7-10+ years of progressive accounting and controllership experience.\nCPA designation.\nProven experience with inventory, WIP, standard costing, COGS, and manufacturing variances.\nAsset: experience in technology, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, electronics, semiconductors, or similar complex manufacturing.\nAsset: experience with government funding programs and SR&ED.\nAsset: bilingualism in French and English.\nWorking Style\nHands-on, analytical, accurate, and highly organized.\nAble to build processes while
