We need a skilled electrician who takes pride in clean, reliable wiring to build our ground station systems in-house. You’ll own panel builds, power wiring, harnesses, terminations and RF interconnects, from a bare enclosure to tested hardware that’s ready to deploy. You’ll work with our engineers every day to improve designs and build processes.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAssemble control panels, enclosures and rack systems from drawings and wiring diagrams.\n\nWire AC/DC power distribution: breakers, terminal blocks, power supplies, grounding and bonding.\n\nMake, route, label and dress harnesses for power, signal, Ethernet, fiber and coax.\n\nTerminate RF connectors (SMA, N-type, TNC) and sweep each assembly for loss and VSWR.\n\nBring finished builds online with continuity, polarity and functional checks, and fix defects before release.\n\nDiagnose wiring and hardware problems down to the part using meters, cable certifiers and RF instruments.\n\nRecord as-built details and test data, and write the work instructions others build from.\n\nRequired Skills\n3+ years of wiring, assembling and testing electrical hardware in a production or lab setting.\n\nDeep experience building panels and low-voltage AC/DC power systems.\n\nExcellent crimping, soldering and termination skills, including coax.\n\nFluency reading schematics, wiring diagrams and mechanical prints.\n\nConfidence with meters, crimpers, strippers, drills and other shop equipment.\n\nSelf-direction: you take a task from start to finish and solve problems as they come up.\n\nAbility to handle loads up to 50 lbs.\n\nNice to Have\nBackground in space, satellite ground segment or telecom hardware.\n\nHands-on time with a VNA, spectrum analyzer, cable/antenna analyzer or power meter.\n\nTraining in IPC/WHMA-A-620 or J-STD-001 workmanship.\n\nExperience installing servers and switches with structured copper and fiber cabling.\n\nUL 508A / NEC panel practices, plus grounding and surge protection for antenna systems.\n\nExposure to motors, drives or control systems.\n\nExperience conducting environmental testing, including thermal chambers, thermal vacuum and vibration testing.\n\nCompensation\nThe estimated base salary range for this role is $30-$40 per hour, plus equity. This range reflects our good-faith estimate for this position at the time of posting. The final salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, skills, and market considerations.
