We’re building a flexible, high-performance platform that’s easy to deploy, monitor, and scale - enabling customers to bring advanced radio technologies to life faster than ever before.\nThe Role\nAs a Digital Electrical Engineer on the hardware team, you will be responsible for owning the design, manufacture, test and deployment of highly integrated PCBAs used by a large number of space customers. You will work with a small team of software, RF hardware, and FPGA engineers to shepherd the product from initial design to vehicle integration, taking a full-stack approach to building robust space communication systems.\nResponsibilities\nDesign high-speed digital hardware including processors, FPGAs, memory, interfaces, and supporting circuitry\n\nPerform trades and analyses of board architecture and component selection\n\nSchematic capture and layout of space-grade PCBs\n\nBring-up and testing of new designs\n\nPartner with RF engineers, software, mechanical, thermal, manufacturing teams and production test teams to drive designs end-to-end\n\nWork with mechanical engineers to ensure proper thermal dissipation of devices\n\nWork with supply chain counterparts to enable rapid manufacture and iteration of components\n\nDesign for performance under space-grade acceptance, qualification, and compliance requirements\n\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or other STEM discipline\n\n3+ years of professional experience designing high-speed digital circuitry\n\nProven experience designing boards using EDA tools such as Altium Designer\n\nExperience designing and debugging Xilinx RFSoC / MPSoC-based systems or equivalent platforms\n\nExperience debugging SoCs across the bootup stack (baremetal/bootloader/linux)\n\nExperience in modeling, simulation, and testing of digital and power electronics\n\nFamiliar with failure mode effects and criticality analysis (FMEA)\n\nPreferred Experience\nExperience designing and implementing mixed-signal circuit boards from concept through production using processors, FPGAs, Ethernet, multi-GHz Serdes, DRAM interfaces (DDR4), I2C, SPI, operational amplifiers, analog to digital and digital to analog converters, and power supply components\n\nDeep understanding with configuration and interfacing of memory, volatile and nonvolatile\n\nExperience designing power trees with complex sequencing requirements\n\nFamiliar with failure mode effects and criticality analysis (FMEA)\n\nExperience selecting and monitoring components capable of performing in a radiation environment\n\nCompensation\nThe estimated base salary range for this role is $130,000-$180,000 per year, plus equity. This range reflects our good-faith estimate for this position at the time of posting. The final base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, skills, and market considerations.
