We’re building a flexible, high-performance platform that’s easy to deploy, monitor, and scale, enabling customers to bring advanced radio technologies to life faster than ever before.\nThe Role\nWe’re hiring an Embedded Software Engineer to develop the software that controls and operates our ground antenna systems.\nThis role sits at the intersection of software and electromechanical systems. You will develop software that controls antenna motion, motors, actuators, sensors, and other components, integrate new electrical and mechanical systems into the ground software stack, and work closely with mechanical, electrical, RF, and software engineers to build and operate reliable ground systems.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop software that supports the operation and integration of ground antenna systems\n\nDevelop reliable, low-level software for controlling motors, actuators, sensors, and other electromechanical components\n\nBuild and maintain interfaces between software and ground-station systems using low-level communication protocols\n\nIntegrate and test new electrical and mechanical systems with the antenna software stack\n\nTroubleshoot software and electromechanical behavior across integrated systems\n\nDevelop automated tests and tools to validate antenna control software and system performance\n\nWork closely with mechanical, electrical, RF, and software engineers to bring new ground-station capabilities into operation\n\nSupport the deployment and reliable operation of ground antenna systems in the field\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nMust-Haves:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field\n\nStrong software development experience in Python\n\nStrong experience developing software in Embedded Linux environments\n\nExperience with networking and software communication protocols\n\nProfessional experience developing and debugging software that integrates with motors, actuators, servos, encoders, sensors, controllers, or other electromechanical systems\n\nExperience developing and debugging low-level interfaces and communication protocols\n\nExperience with test automation and software validation\n\nAbility to work cross-functionally with software, electrical, mechanical, and RF engineers\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience developing software in C or C++\n\nExperience with RF systems, satellite communications, or ground-station systems\n\nExperience deploying or supporting integrated software/electromechanical systems in field environments\n\nExperience with GNU Radio or similar software-defined radio frameworks\n\nCompensation\nThe estimated base salary range for this role is $130,000-$200,000 per year, plus equity. This range reflects our good-faith estimate for this position at the time of posting.
