Whatever your role at ANZ, you’ll be building your future, while helping to build ours.\nRole Type: Permanent\nRole Location: Melbourne or Brisbane\nWork Hours: Full-Time\nWhat will your day look like?\nAs an Engineer, you will:\nCollaborate with business and technology stakeholders to understand customer requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions.\nDesign, develop, test, deploy, operate and support software solutions across the full development lifecycle.\nTake ownership of features and services from inception through to production support.\nContribute to automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency, reliability and system performance.\nParticipate actively in agile ceremonies and collaborate closely with teammates to deliver customer value.\nSupport service operations activities including incident management, troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.\nHelp maintain highly available and resilient digital platforms that support millions of customers.\nWhat will you bring?\nTo be successful in this role, you will bring:\nExperience developing software solutions using languages such as Go, Java, JavaScript or TypeScript.\nKnowledge of cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS).\nExperience working with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or Cassandra.\nStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a focus on service reliability and customer outcomes.\nAn understanding of software engineering best practices, quality assurance and solution design principles.\nA continuous improvement mindset and a willingness to learn new technologies and frameworks.\nThe ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and contribute positively to team culture.\nExperience in areas such as back-end development, front-end development, infrastructure engineering, systems analysis, delivery engineering or service operations will be highly regarded.\nSo why join us?\nFrom the moment you join ANZ, you'll be doing meaningful work that will shape a world where people and communities thrive.\nBut it's not just our customers who'll feel your impact.
