It provides independent assurance to Parliament and the public that public organisations are operating and accounting for their performance as Parliament intended.\n\nWe're looking for a permanent Senior Technical Lead, Cloud Platforms to lead the design, security, and performance of our Microsoft cloud platforms. This is a senior technical role focused on Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, automation, resilience, and continuous improvement in a cloud-first environment.\n\nWhat you'll do\n\nLead the design, implementation, and support of Microsoft cloud platforms.\n\nStrengthen secure-by-design foundations across Azure, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID.\n\nDrive automation and continuous improvement through infrastructure as code and engineering best practice.\n\nLead complex platform changes, including migrations, modernisation, and resilience improvements.\n\nProvide senior technical leadership and work closely with internal teams and vendors.\n\nKnowledge and experience you'll bring\n\nStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID in an enterprise environment.\n\nExperience with automation and infrastructure as code, including tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM, and PowerShell.\n\nExcellent knowledge of cloud security, identity and access management, resilience, monitoring, and operational support.\n\nExperience working across hybrid infrastructure, including networking, backup, recovery, and platform modernisation.\n\nThe ability to provide trusted technical advice, build strong relationships, and contribute as a senior technical leader.\n\nYou'll join an organisation with a strong public purpose, flexible hybrid working, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through modern, secure technology platforms.\n\nThis role leads the delivery of secure, scalable cloud platforms — from engineering and improving CI/CD pipelines to supporting hybrid environments in production.
