The successful candidate will develop scalable data pipelines, data warehouses, lakehouses, and reporting solutions that enable business stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions.\nDesign and develop end-to-end data solutions within Microsoft Fabric.\nBuild and maintain data ingestion pipelines from multiple source systems.\nDevelop and optimise Lakehouse, Warehouse, and OneLake solutions.\nImplement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) to support data quality and governance.\nCreate and maintain ETL/ELT processes using Data Factory, Data Pipelines, Notebooks, and Spark.\nDevelop, maintain, and enhance SQL scripts, stored procedures, views, and data models.\nMonitor and troubleshoot performance issues within Fabric environments.\nImplement security, access controls, and governance standards.\nSupport CI/CD deployment processes and source control best practices.\nCollaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.\nProduce technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials.\nWhat you will have\nTechnical Skills\nStrong SQL development skills. \nExperience designing and implementing ETL/ELT solutions. \nKnowledge of Lakehouse and Data Warehouse architectures. \nExperience with Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, and Notebooks. \nUnderstanding of data modelling techniques, including star schemas and dimensional modelling. \nExperience with Power BI semantic models and reporting. \nKnowledge of data governance, security, and performance optimisation. \nExperience using Git and CI/CD deployment practices. \nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\nDesirableExperience with Microsoft Fabric. \nExperience with Azure Data Services.\nWorking with multi-currency financial information\nKnowledge of PySpark or Spark SQL.\nUnderstanding of Microsoft Entra ID and security frameworks.\nExperience with DevOps and automated deployment pipelines.\nKnowledge of financial, legal, or professional services data environments.\nElite 3E IDE 2.7 or later development experience is required\nElite 3E Templates / Design Gallery knowledge would be highly advantageous\nToolsetsSQL Server - TSQL\nXSLT\nAzure DevOps knowledge\nPower Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Logic Apps and Power Automate) experience is highly advantageous\nMicrosoft SQL Reporting Services would be advantageous\nPersonal SkillsAnalytical and inquisitive mind with ability to diagnose and resolve user queries.\nQuality orientation evidenced by attention to detail and high work standards.\nCalm and positive attitude to a dynamic environment.\nFocus on communication within the team and sharing knowledge and experience\nProactive and self-motivated approach to organising time and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.\nAbout A&O Shearman\nA&O Shearman is a new global industry-leading law firm, with nearly 50 offices in 29 countries worldwide.
