Strong background in full-stack development, Azure cloud services, DevOps, AI-enabled applications, and stakeholder management across complex enterprise environments.\n\nAon is in the business of better decisions\n\nAt Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world. \nAs an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive team and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.\n\nWhat the day will look like\n\nKey Responsibilities\nApplication Architecture & Technology Leadership\nDefine and drive the application architecture strategy for enterprise-scale business applications hosted on Microsoft Azure.\nLead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, resilient, and maintainable cloud-native solutions.\nEstablish architecture standards, engineering principles, and development best practices across application teams.\nEvaluate emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and cloud services to accelerate delivery and business value.\nProvide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle, from concept through production support.\nApplication Development & Modernization\nLead multiple application development initiatives spanning web applications, APIs, microservices, integrations, and cloud-native platforms.\nGuide teams in developing modern applications using technologies such as .NET/C#, Python, Node.js, TypeScript, React, and modern UI frameworks.\nDrive application modernization efforts including migration from legacy platforms to cloud-based architectures.\nEnsure applications meet enterprise requirements for scalability, performance, security, maintainability, and user experience.\nAzure Cloud Strategy & Platform Engineering\nArchitect, deploy, and govern applications hosted on Microsoft Azure or Google cloud\nDefine cloud architecture patterns, networking, security, identity, observability, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.\nPartner with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with enterprise standards and cloud governance requirements.\nLead cloud cost optimization, performance tuning, and operational excellence initiatives.\nEngineering Management & Team Leadership\nLead, mentor, and develop high-performing software engineering teams.\nManage technical project delivery, capacity planning, resource allocation, and engineering execution.\nConduct architecture reviews, code reviews, design reviews, and technical assessments.\nEstablish engineering KPIs and drive continuous improvement across development teams.\nSupport hiring, succession planning, coaching, and performance management activities.\nDevOps, Automation & Operational Excellence\nDrive adoption of DevOps practices and continuous delivery methodologies.\nOversee CI/CD platform implementation using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code.\nEnsure robust monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response processes are established.\nLead root cause analysis for major production incidents and drive long-term remediation plans.\nBusiness & Stakeholder Engagement\nPartner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Enterprise Architects, and business stakeholders to define technology roadmaps and delivery strategies.\nTranslate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and architectural blueprints.\nCommunicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nSupport strategic planning, budgeting, vendor management, and technology investment decisions.\nSkills and experience that will lead to success\n\nStrong background in full-stack development, Azure cloud services, DevOps, AI-enabled applications, and stakeholder management across complex enterprise environments.\n\nHOW WE SUPPORT OUR COLLEAGUES\nIn addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we are proud to be an equal opportunity workforce.
