You work from Product Requirement Definition (PRD) documents and, in partnership with your Software Engineering Team Lead, turn them into sound technical designs - then build, test, and ship them. You also raise the bar for the engineers around you through code review, pairing, and example.\nOur platform is large and deeply interconnected, so strong analytical thinking matters as much as coding skill. You need to understand how your changes ripple across other components and design accordingly, rather than optimising only for the feature directly in front of you.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nFeature Design & DeliveryOwn the design and delivery of significant features and modules end-to-end - from technical design through implementation, testing, and release - with minimal supervision.\nTranslate PRDs into clear implementation plans, contributing directly to Technical Specification Documents (TSDs) alongside your Team Lead.\nWrite clean, well-structured, well-tested code across the stack: C#/.NET services, SQL Server data access, and react front-ends.\nIdentify edge cases, failure modes, and non-functional requirements (performance, security, accessibility) early in design - not after code review.\nCode Quality & Technical PracticeConduct thorough code reviews that raise the quality bar for the whole squad - checking not just correctness but architectural fit, testability, and maintainability.\nChampion and apply engineering standards: layered architecture, OpenAPI-first API design, and our React corporate design system.\nWrite and maintain automated tests (unit, integration) as a core part of delivery, not an afterthought.\nInvestigate and resolve complex bugs and production issues that require deep platform knowledge to diagnose.\nCross-Platform CollaborationMap how your changes interact with other components of the platform, flagging cross-team dependencies and risks early.\nWork closely with your Team Lead, Solution Architects, QA, and Business Analysts to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguity, and validate designs before implementation.\nParticipate actively in technical design reviews - both presenting your own designs and providing rigorous, constructive feedback on others.\nSupport integration efforts with other squads and systems (ATS integrations, shared services) where your modules are involved.\nMentorship & Team ContributionMentor and unblock less experienced engineers - through pairing, code review, and informal technical guidance - without formal management responsibility.\nHelp new engineers onboard to the platform's architecture, standards, and ways of working.\nContribute to evolving team practices, tooling, and technical standards based on what you learn from hands-on delivery.\nAI-Augmented EngineeringUse AI tools in your day-to-day work - for design exploration, coding, testing, code review, and documentation - and apply them effectively and responsibly. This is a core expectation, not a nice-to-have.\nIdentify opportunities where AI-assisted development can improve code quality and delivery speed for your squad.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\n4-8 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally on a large-scale SaaS or enterprise platform.\nStrong hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET / .NET Core / MVC, SQL, JavaScript, and React.\nProven ability to own the design and delivery of non-trivial features end-to-end with minimal supervision.\nSolid understanding of database design, querying, schema design, and query optimization.\nExperience integrating systems via APIs, with comfort working against OpenAPI specifications.\nStrong analytical thinking - able to reason about the downstream impact of design and implementation decisions on an interconnected platform.\nDemonstrated experience conducting thorough, constructive code reviews.\nGood communication skills, and comfortable working in an international team across time zones.\nDay-to-day use of AI tools in engineering work.
