We’re building secure, resilient and innovative payment experiences for today and for Australia’s digital future.\nWe’re looking for a Lead Business Analyst to guide analysis across key initiatives, lead and develop a team of business analysts, and help turn complex business needs into practical solutions.\nThe opportunity\nYou’ll lead a team of business analysts allocated across a range of projects, conducting regular check ins and quarterly reviews, and providing coaching and mentoring to drive best practice and consistency across the team.\nAs an active member of the Business Analysis Community of Practice (CoP), you will contribute to capability development, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across the broader BA function.\nYou will also ensure that business analysis artefacts are of a high quality, meet delivery and governance standards, and deliver meaningful value.\nFinally, you will be involved in business analysis tasks ranging from early investigation and scoping through to delivery. Working closely with stakeholders across the business and technology teams, you’ll clarify priorities, shape requirements and recommendations.\nWhat you’ll do :\nWork closely with the Delivery Lead and Project Managers to ensure business analysis activities support project delivery. \nLead analysis across the project lifecycle, including business cases, feasibility assessments, impact analysis and project scoping. \nGuide requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, prioritisation and management through delivery and into operations. \nDevelop and oversee business process, data and other models that support sound decisions and effective solutions. \nBuild trusted relationships with stakeholders, bringing different perspectives together and resolving competing priorities. \nIdentify opportunities to improve processes, assess risks and recommend options that support business goals. \nCommunicate findings, progress and recommendations clearly to business and technology audiences. \nMaintain the quality and consistency of the team’s analysis deliverables. \nCoach and mentor business analysts, supporting their performance and professional growth. \nContribute to the wider Business Analysis community through thought leadership and continuous improvement of methods and standards. \nWhat you’ll bring :\nAround 5-7 years of progressive business analysis experience, including work on complex initiatives. \nExperience leading or mentoring a small team of business analysts. \nStrong skills in business situation analysis, feasibility assessment, business case development and requirements management. \nConfidence modelling business processes and data, and translating findings into clear recommendations. \nExperience supporting user acceptance testing and assessing whether solutions meet business needs. \nA collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement, facilitation and decision-making. \nFamiliarity with structured business analysis frameworks and delivery practices, including Agile and Waterfall. \nExperience with delivery tools such as Jira. \nA degree or equivalent experience. \nKnowledge of payments technology, IT systems or financial services will be highly regarded. \nWhat happens next:\nAt AP+, we believe in the power of passion, pride, and purpose.
