We’re doing it with our customers and communities as Australia’s energy infrastructure partner, a role our unique experience and expertise positions us to play.\nWe now have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Engineer - Power to join us in our Infrastructure Delivery - Infrastructure Engineering team Perth, WA on a Permanent Full Time opportunity.\nReporting to the Manager, Power Engineering West, you will play a key role in delivering complex engineering solutions, providing specialist technical expertise, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving innovation and continuous improvement in engineering practices.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and deliver complex power engineering projects, with a focus on primary electrical systems and high-voltage transmission infrastructure.\nProvide specialist technical expertise in the design, development and implementation of primary electrical engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.\nUndertake technical reviews, engineering assessments and complex problem-solving to deliver safe, reliable and cost-effective transmission solutions.\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, project managers and key stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with business objectives.\nDrive continuous improvement and innovation in engineering practices, providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.\nYour background\nTertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, with significant experience in power engineering.\nDemonstrated experience in primary electrical engineering and high-voltage transmission systems, including substations and associated infrastructure.\nStrong technical knowledge of primary plant equipment, electrical design principles, transmission networks and relevant Australian standards.\nProven ability to lead complex engineering projects, resolve technical challenges and deliver high-quality engineering solutions.\nExcellent stakeholder management, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.\nWorking at APA\nAt APA, we’re committed to fostering a safe and inclusive workplace where you can achieve your best.\nWe offer targeted career development programs designed to accelerate your career, competitive remuneration, employee benefits, flexible working arrangements, and wellbeing initiatives are all part of what we’ll offer you.
