Coordinators get to partake in doing \"business as a ministry\" by faithfully weaving together excellence in business with loving their neighbors well.\nJob Duties and Responsibilities\nPlan and host 2 events each month for the residents in the apartment community with the purpose of caring for and connecting with residents, connecting residents to one another and to services or local businesses in the wider community\nProvide a caring touch to residents and staff with the help of other residents and a network of community support\nEnhance online reputation by inviting residents to share online about their experience in the community.\nDevelop marketing material for the activities such as monthly calendars, event flyers, and social media posts\nManage the event budget process\nPrepare monthly summaries\nMeet with staff and program director for planning, equipping, and development\nEngage a support team of volunteers, vendors, and other community partners to maximize impact\nVisit new residents shortly after they move-in and/or residents who are near the end of their lease to connect with them\nRequired Qualifications\nMust be 18 years of age or older.\nBe legally eligible to work in the United States\nHave basic fluency in English to compose marketing elements for the community and required reports for the property management company\nPossess a current driver's license and liability insurance, and access to a form of reliable transportation to complete coordinator duties such as shopping for events and connecting with vendors\nBe physically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 25 pounds\nHave the availability to commit weekly hours to perform job responsibilities, mainly in the evenings and weekends when most residents are home\nBe able to make the minimum term commitment to serving in the apartment community\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrevious event planning experience\nExperience working within a budget\nSome relevant experience using social media\nHave a network of support through potential volunteers, vendors, or community partners\nAdditional notes regarding the application\nYou may see a place to provide a Linked-In profile or resume. Please review our website for more details. Onsite coordinators serve an apartment community for 12 hours per week and live onsite for a reduced amount.
