defects, and surface characterization.\nOffer metallurgical expertise and support to our customers, ensuring their satisfaction and success.\nLead and manage the Structure & Characterization department within our Research Center, overseeing a team of technicians and utilizing advanced characterization tools.\nEnsure the safety, security, and quality of your team and equipment, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.\nDevelop and enhance our Ni-based Alloys competency, building upon our existing knowledge of FeNi, Duplex Stainless Steel, and other alloys, and exploring their usage values, properties, and applications.\nUnderstand and propose improvements for phase transformations and structures characterization, contributing to the optimization of our manufacturing processes.\nDrive the development of new products, staying abreast of breakthrough technologies and metallurgical advancements, and actively participating in the filing of patents.\nManage and contribute to our R&D projects portfolio, serving as a key point of contact for metallurgical expertise at the Imphy site.\nFoster a collaborative and innovative environment, ensuring effective communication and teamwork between R&D, Industrial Operations, Quality, and Development teams.\nEngage with academic networks and partners, ensuring our Research Center remains at the forefront of metallurgical research and development.\n Qualifications:\nA solid foundation in Metallurgy or Materials Science, with a PhD or Master's degree from a top-tier French engineering school.\nExtensive knowledge and experience in Metallography and metallurgical characterizations, with a proven track record in managing and leading teams.\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.\nProficiency in project management, with the ability to steer external and transversal projects, ensuring timely delivery and successful outcomes.\nA passion for innovation and idea sourcing, with an open mind and a willingness to explore new technologies and approaches.\nFluency in English and French is mandatory, with the ability to communicate effectively with international teams and customers.\nExperience in R&D within the metallurgical field is highly advantageous, demonstrating a deep understanding of the industry and its challenges.\nStrong knowledge of physics, phase transformations, and thermodynamics, with the ability to apply these principles to material
