We are unable to sponsor or transfer H-1B or other employment-based visas, and candidates currently on F-1, OPT, STEM OPT status are not eligible for this role.\nYour Role\nThis position will be responsible for engineering production processes for new products and improving/scaling up current processes. Responsibilities will span across multiple disciplines from technical writing, equipment specification, process qualification, implementation of quality processes, supplier management, root cause analyses, and data processing. This role requires the development of ambitious plans, breaking them into tangible goals, and executing on agreed-upon timelines. \nYour Responsibilities\nDevelop and maintain a thorough understanding of our manufacturing operations\nInteract cross-functionally with Quality, Design Engineering, and Operations in order to resolve technical issues and non-conformances\nEngineer and validate new and/or improved assembly processes for efficiency and cost reduction\nFactory layout planning & execution of the plan\nGenerate and organize process documentation including via flowcharts, PFMEAs, process documentation, and work instructions\nCreate, release and implement Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs)\nLead investigations of production yield issues\nCollect, analyze, and report data to gain a deeper understanding of processes, address yield issues and identify strategic improvement opportunities.\nDocument and execute non-standard builds from documenting processes to routing material handling, setting up manufacturing floor space, and reporting results\nSkills/Qualifications\nIndustrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering (or similar) degree required\nMinimum 5-8 years of experience in high-volume, low-mix production processes in the automotive or medical industries\nHigh acuity/aptitude for mechanical systems\nAbility to interpret and review technical drawings and schematics\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nExcellent interpersonal skills, preferably demonstrated by previous leadership roles.\nFamiliarity with various manufacturing techniques: injection molded plastics, sheet metal, machining\nExperience performing PFMEAs\nIndustry best practices (Kaisen/5S/Toyota Management principles)\nStatistics and Statistical Process Control\nExperience in PLM or ERP systems (Arena, Netsuite)\nProgramming experience (JavaScript/Python/Matlab/LabVIEW)\nPay Range: $120,000 - $140,000\n*Base salary only.
