Join us as we expand our product offering and take the next steps on our journey toward bringing the \"backbone of our economy\" into the automation age.\nThis role is a Contract through a Aperia Technologies Inc,\nWe are unable to sponsor H-1B visas or other employment-based visas for this position at this time\nYour Role\nAs an Accountant you will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end accounting close process, including account analysis, reconciliations, payroll, and financial reporting. This role ensures accuracy in general ledger, compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and timely completion of month-end deliverables. \nThis contract (30-40 hours/week) position is onsite in Hayward, CA\nYour Responsibilities\nExecute month-end and year-end close activities by preparing journal entries, accruals, and depreciation expense entries to enable a timely and accurate financial close.\nMaintain the fixed asset sub-ledger by recording additions, disposals, and depreciation, and reconciling balance to the general ledger to support accurate capital project reporting. \nTimely and accurately record cash applications of customer payments.\nSupport revenue accounting with booking of revenue transactions as needed.\nSupport inventory accounting by partnering with the Aperia Operations Team to record transactions, investigate variances, and maintain accurate inventory balances.\nPrepare account reconciliations and analyses by investigating variances and documenting adjustments to maintain financial accuracy and audit readiness. \nMaintain accuracy in the general ledger and chart of accounts by reviewing coding, correcting misclassifications, and supporting hierarchy and scalability as the business grows. \nPush to completion ongoing project invoicing the cleanup of deferred revenue and revenue recognition reporting. \nSkills/Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related\n5+ years of progressive accounting experience.\nWorking knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting procedures, specifically understanding of ASC 606.\nStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet close deadlines. \nExperience with ERP systems (Netsuite).\n*The Pay Range for this role is $29-33 per hour.","description_format":"text","description_chars":2699,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-13T03:06:35Z"}],"liveness":{"score":50,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.666,"p_room":0.75,"age_days":21,"expected_fill_days":24,"reasons":["conf:3","win:late"],"computed_at":"2026-09-26T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/aperiatechnologies-accountant-contract","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/aperiatechnologies-accountant-contract.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-27T00:56:22Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":839,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":4161,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-09-28T00:00:00Z"}}}
