This position provides a dynamic mix of office-based project management and hands-on field work supporting environmental projects throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island. There will be some travel required throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island, but the individual will not need to report to an office if they are not in the field.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nProject management of environmental projects, which will include communicating and collaborating with the team, clients, regulators, and subcontractors \nManage project financials, to include maintaining budgets, reconciling subcontractor invoices, and supporting grants/funding sources\nPrepare proposals for environmental projects, including site walks, client meetings, and technical scopes of work \nPrepare technical reports to support MA Contingency Plan (MCP, 310 CMR 40.0000), including risk assessments and deed restrictions\nSupport remediation design and implementation that include pump and treat systems, soil vapor extraction systems, biological and chemical injection programs, stabilization, etc. \nSupport soil and hazardous waste characterization and disposal\nCollect soil, groundwater, soil vapor, indoor air, surface water, and drinking water samples\nProvide oversight of site investigation and characterization, as well as contaminated site remediation\nConduct ASTM Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments\nSupport emergency response services\nImplement health and safety policies\n#LI-JS1\nWhat we're looking for:\nBachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or related major\n5+ years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or a related field\n3+ years of experience with Massachusetts-based regulations\nDemonstrated technical report writing proficiency.\nStrong attention to detail.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work in fast-paced environments and various weather conditions\nExcellent safety record and understanding of safe work practices\nValid driver's license, good driving history and reliable transportation \nMust be available for infrequent night and weekend work \nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds\nMust be able to travel 40% in MA and RI (occasional travel throughout New England)\n40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification is desirableRhode Island State regulatory, AutoCAD, GIS, land surveying, wetland/ecological sciences, hazardous building material assessment, stormwater sampling, and/or risk assessment experience is a plus.\n*Sponsorship is not available for this position now or in the future\nWhy you'll love working for us:\nCompany-subsidized medical and dental.\nCompany-paid life, short, and long-term disability.\n401k match, tuition assistance, and more.\nCross-training and the ability to work on a variety of projects.\nPerformance-based bonuses or other incentives.\nWorking with the best and brightest in the industry.\n2,000+ employee national firm with 70+ locations across the US.\n\nApex Job Title: Associate Project Manager\nReq # 12215\n\nAnnual Expected Pay Range\n$75,000—$90,000 USD\nWe believe in equality for all and celebrate the diversity and differences of our employees, customers, and communities.
