Remediation & Civil Construction\nWe are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field crews performing environmental remediation system installations and upgrades, civil construction, utility work, and stormwater infrastructure repairs and improvements.\nThe successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong safety record, extensive construction experience, and the ability to effectively manage field personnel, equipment, subcontractors, and project schedules.\nResponsibilities\nLead and supervise construction crews and subcontractors.\nEnsure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.\nCoordinate daily field activities with project managers, engineers, clients, and inspectors.\nOversee remediation system installations, excavation, grading, underground utilities, and stormwater infrastructure projects.\nOperate heavy equipment as needed, including excavators, loaders, backhoes, and skid steers.\nPrepare daily reports and monitor project progress.\nProvide input on project planning, scheduling, labor requirements, equipment needs, and material procurement.\nMaintain compliance with site-specific safety and environmental requirements.\nSite Leadership and Construction Management.\nManage all daily construction activities from project mobilization through closeout.\nSupervise personnel, subcontractors, and field staff to achieve project objectives.\nCoordinate and schedule field activities while maintaining project milestones.\nMaintain project documentation including daily reports, field logs, inspections, schedules, and progress updates.\nReview plans, specifications, submittals, and contract requirements to ensure compliance.\nMonitor project budgets and provide rough-order cost estimates for field changes.\nCoordinate with project managers, safety professionals, and other technical leads.\nServe as the primary field liaison with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.\nAttend project meetings, as required.\nIdentify project risks and implement corrective actions to maintain safety, quality, and schedule.\nExercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions or quality deficiencies exist.\nAttend job walks for potential new projects and support the cost estimating process.\nMaintain field documentation including equipment inspections, submittals, daily logs, manifests, bills of lading, delivery tickets, etc.\nEnsure compliance with contract specifications, quality standards, and Manuals.\nVerify all required safety and environmental plans, permits, and specifications are available during inspections.\nAdminister the project’s Health and Safety Plans (HASP) and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).\nEnsure compliance with OSHA regulations and HAZWOPER requirements.\nConduct daily safety inspections, toolbox talks, and site audits.\nManage work permits including confined space, hot work, excavation, and other required permits.\nVerify required safety certifications for employees and subcontractors.\nInvestigate incidents, near misses, and accidents and implement corrective actions.\nPromote a proactive safety culture across all project activities.\nQualifications\n15+ years of construction experience, including environmental, civil, utility, or infrastructure projects.\nProven experience leading field crews and managing construction activities.\nStrong knowledge of excavation, utility installation, grading, and construction sequencing.\nHeavy equipment operating experience required.\nExperience estimating labor, equipment, and material needs.\nExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nValid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.\nAbility to pass a drug screen and background check in compliance with federal regulations.\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nEnvironmental remediation construction experience.\nOSHA 30-Hour Certification.\n40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification.\nExcavation/Trenching Competent Person certification.\nConfined Space Training\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\nCurrent First Aid/CPR certification.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.\nCompetent Person
