And we offer you the freedom to be a positive disrupter and turn big ideas into bold, industry-changing realities.\nFor our business, for clients, and for you\nAssistant Finance Manager\nLocation: Ireland\nDepartment: Finance\nEmployment Type: Full-time\nSummary\nSeeking an experienced Accountant to play a key role within the Irish Finance team, with responsibility for delivering accurate financial reporting, robust balance sheet control and meaningful monthly analysis for two key businesses within the region.\nThis role will suit a qualified (or near-qualified) accountant who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, international environment and working closely with senior stakeholders.\nThe Role\nAssisting the Head of Finance - Ireland to manage the relationships between the local operational business and the regional finance team.\nAssisting the Head of Finance - Ireland in the day-to-day management of the Manco Finance team (multi-jurisdictional)\nReviewing P&L, revenue figures and BS, against prior month, YTD and budget, identifying and articulating variances and associated rationale.\nEnsure the accuracy of intercompany recharges and that they are appropriately recorded.\nOversight of the Finance accrued income process to ensure its accuracy, along with interactions with the local Operations Team to validate data.\nAssisting in the collation of the Finance Packs for local Board meetings.\nEnsure all Regulatory reporting deadlines are met including a) the calculation and ongoing monitoring of the Company’s compliance with regulatory capital requirements b) various finance related regulatory returns.\nTake the lead for preparation of the annual statutory financial statements for the relevant entities and act as principal contact with the external Auditors under the oversight of the Head of Finance - Ireland.\nKey Responsibilities\nDeliver accurate and timely month-end close (in line with group timetable), including journals, accruals, prepayments and revenue entries.\nPrepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts, resolving issues promptly and maintaining robust supporting documentation.\nEnsure costs and revenues are recorded accurately in line with accounting standards, budgets and prior periods, with clear variance explanations.\nProduce monthly management reporting, including concise variance and performance commentary for senior stakeholders.\nIdentify and appropriately account for unusual or significant transactions.\nOversee accrued and deferred revenue processes.\nManage oversight of accounts receivable, billing accuracy, cut-off and aged debt, working with the business to address issues and improve cash collection.\nMonitor client billing in line with agreed timetables and Group requirements.\nOversee accounts payable processes (in conjunction with the business) to support timely supplier payments via Group Treasury.\nPrepare financial reports and submissions for Regional and Group Finance and FP&A, ensuring compliance with Group reporting standards.\nSupport budgeting and forecasting through accurate historical data and financial insight.\nAct as a key finance business partner to local operations, providing clear advice and an efficient, responsive finance service.\nWork closely with regional and Group finance teams to ensure alignment and consistency.\nLeada year-end and interim audits for your entities, including preparation of audit schedules and liaison with external auditors.\nContribute to continuous improvement of financial controls, processes and documentation.\nManage a small multi-jurisdictional team\nBuild strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business.\nUndertake ad-hoc finance projects as required.\nSkills, Experience & Qualifications\nQualified or near-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)\nStrong experience in financial accounting and month-end reporting within a corporate or professional services environment\nSolid understanding of accruals, prepayments, deferred revenue and balance sheet management\nExperience preparing management accounts and explaining financial performance to non-finance stakeholders\nHigh level of attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills\nConfident communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders across the business\nAbility to manage deadlines in a changing environment and prioritise effectively\nStrong Excel skills;
