Working alongside software engineers, data scientists, product managers, and the wider technology and architecture functions, you’ll build and maintain the pipelines that move data between our Holtara.io application database (Oracle), our Snowflake environment, and client-specific data warehouses.\nOur data warehouse holds “business data” structured around our proprietary systems that lets us track, transfer, benchmark and report data across our client base. You’ll play a key role in centralizing more of this data into Snowflake, reducing manual transformations and files, and enabling downstream consumption through data visualizations (with Row Level Security) and automated exports.\nAs the business grows, we want our staff to grow with us, so there will be plenty of opportunities to learn and upskill. While much of the work follows business requirements and design concepts, you will also play a key role in the continuous improvement of design patterns and automation processes.\nResponsibilities\nManage, develop and optimise the Holtara Snowflake data warehouse, including schemas, views, tables and environments (e.g. staging/testing environments that replicate production).\n\nBuild and maintain data pipelines and integrations between the Holtara.io application database (Oracle), Holtara Snowflake, and client-specific warehouses - including client Snowflake instances.\n\nDesign and build client-specific data tables/views in Snowflake, applying Row Level Security (RLS) per client and connecting these to client-facing exports and data visualizations.\n\nDetermine the most appropriate data engineering tools, methods, and design patterns to meet business requirements.\n\nPrepare and expose data for downstream consumption, including exports and APIs.\n\nProactively identify and suggest improvements (e.g. moving from weekly to same-day data delivery through more efficient pipelines).\n\nDocument, support, manage, and maintain the modern data platform built within your squad, ensuring security and data-access requirements are maintained.\n\nProvide guidance to downstream data consumers (analysts, product, data services, client-facing teams).\n\nComply with all company policies, including data security and access-control standards.\n\nRequirements & Skills\nAt least 4 years of data engineering experience, ideally within a SaaS, consultancy and/or data-intensive environment.\n\nExperience with Data Warehousing and Data Modelling.\n\nStrong hands-on experience with Snowflake (administration, schema/view design, performance optimization and security) - essential.\n\nExperience integrating and building pipelines to/from relational databases, particularly Oracle (and/or similar solutions such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL).\n\nExperience with Data Lakes (Azure Data Lake).\n\nExperience with other Cloud Data Warehouses (Azure Synapse) - desirable .\n\nExperience with ETL/ELT/Pipeline tools (Azure Data Factory, Fivetran, Stitch).\n\nStrong programming skills in SQL and Python (Scala or Java a plus), including writing scripts to transform and populate data (e.g. auto-populating export templates from Snowflake).\n\nKnowledge of messaging systems (Azure ASQ, Kafka, RabbitMQ).\n\nExperience with cloud workflow services (Azure Logic Apps, Camunda).\n\nExperience with event and schedule management (Azure Functions).\n\nExperience connecting data warehouses to visualization tools, including implementing Row Level Security (RLS) for multi-tenant, client-facing dashboards - highly desirable.\n\nAPI management / development experience - desirable.\n\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills , with the ability to work with internal teams (Data, Tech, Product) and external clients across multiple geographies.\n\nWorking knowledge of Agile Software Development Lifecycles.\n\nExperience with Git-based development workflows\n\nExperience designing and maintaining data models, datasets and data flows that support machine learning and AI use cases.\n\nExperience working with Oracle databases, including schema design, query optimization, data extraction and integration with downstream data platforms.\n\nWhat you will get in return:\nA genuinely unique opportunity to be part of an expanding large global business.\n\nExposure to all aspects of the business, cross-jurisdiction and to working with senior management directly.\n\nA dynamic, professional working environment with broad operational responsibility.\n\nAdditional information:\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and ensure that no applicant is subject to less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, gender identity, marital status, race, colour, nationality, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic, responsibilities for dependants, physical or mental disability.
